Holy moly!
So, I'm sitting here at home. I get a text message from Jill at work (she's the assistant manager).

Jill: Christine quit ---- (Christine was the manager)
Me: Really? Was it because of Regina? --- (we have a bug going around at work amongst the dogs - one dog had to have SubQ fluids, but was giving them at work. She felt he needed to be at a vet and we all agreed so he went later on)
Jill: No, Scott told Edan and Regina about some things she had said about Mackenzi (the dog that died while there.. I wrote about it in the health section awhile back), and so they were pissed. When they confronted her about it, she quit.
Me: Wow! So does that make you manager now? Lol
Jill: Yes, and you! I will push for my place! (I didn't understand her message at first)
Me: Haha
Jill: No joke! You are it!
Me: For real? Holy moly!

And the messaging went on.

But holy smokes! I can't believe I'm one of the managers now! I've only been there for a few months, and I'm already going higher up. Granted it was because Christine quit, but I knew she was going to eventually. I'm just in complete shock!

Jill told me to act surprised tomorrow, and to not act cheezy about it. LOL I told her I wouldn't, she knows me better than that. Her and I get along really well together, so we should make a great team. It also will be an increase in pay, which will help with taking care of some things at home.

I'll let you all know tomorrow what happens.
