Great Dane Puppy Pics
It's late, I'm bored, and I'm not tired yet, LOL So I decided to share you some pictures with you of my aunt's moms Great Dane puppy Noah. Noah is 7 1/2 months old in these pictures..
His mommy took the stuff of his ears so his ears are a bit funky. She said he would always tear them off and they just bothered him so much. I think his ears are cute though.. ![]() Funky ears! ![]() ![]() ![]() Noah and I ![]() Noah and his mommy! I was working with him a little bit on sit. She said she sent him to "doggy boot camp", but he doesn't listen well when she tells him to sit. First time I said "Sit", he sat She was amazed that he did it for me, and every time I told him. So she said she's going to have me train him for her..She said she hopes he doesn't get as big as his father who was 207 lbs, but with the size of his paws still, I don't think she's going to get her wish LOL |

Aww, what a darling boy! Hmm, me thinks his selective puppy hearing kicks in when his mommy talks. lol I bet he'll be fun to train and quick at it too since it sounds like he really likes you!

OMG! He's adorable AND huge! Me thinks too, that he needs some major incentive to listen to Mommy....LOL. Better get some T-bones in bulk at Costco for his training treats.
That's a shame about those ears. When did she last have the posts in? She should really try again if they haven't flopped for too long. They're pretty hard to get out when you use the right tape. I wonder which method she used. Here's the one I used which didn't seem to bother Lyric in the least, if you want to check with her. She or you could clicker train him to leave his ears alone. No kidding. http://dobermanpages.com/taping.htm Of course, the tampons may not be long enough for his ears, but something else...hmmm, I think they make kits for this procedure. |

He is a beautiful boy! My Aunt has a female Dane named Tora. She is so HUGE and she thinks she is a lap dog. If you sit down on the couch, she will be on top of you.

I'm not sure how long they've been out. I'll have to ask her next time I see her. I'll keep that site handy and have her look at it. She said she "regrets taking them out" so I guess she thinks it's too late. But from what I felt the cartilidge (sp?) in his ears was still a bit "soft".
That was the first time I met him, and I'd have to say his tail knows the back of my thighs really well! ![]() |

Sarah, he's a beautiful dog!!! My drama teacher has a great dane named Mishka that looks just like him! But sadly Mishka's not even a year old yet and already has a slipped disk which is pinching a nerve (or summat like that). She's still a big love bug though and they give her meds every day to ease the pain. I wonder if Noah doesn't listen to your aunt cause she doesn't know hot to give commands? It might sound silly but people who say a command over and over again will get tuned out by dogs and also improper body language (appearing afraid or shy) won't get you a co-operative dog either. Actually a lot of people who just send their dog off to "doggie boot camp" get "untrained" dogs back because puppy class doesn't jsut teach the dog, but the owner too
![]() Cheers! |

Noah is fantastic! He coats has a super, healthy shine to it! These gentle giants definitely hold a special place in my heart and to this day I miss both Samson (fawn) and Elgin (harlequin) who shared my home until they were 11 yo & 10 yo.
This breed definitely thinks they are lap dogs and those tails sure can be deadly! ![]() |
