don't know how you guys sleep w/the dogs

So the other night Violet was sick, so in the middle of the night I put her in bed with me and hubby so I could keep an eye on her.

We have a queen size bed and she is small, only around 60 pounds, but geez we just couldn't all fit in the bed together.

First she was on the edge, and I was afraid she was going to fall off. and I was squished tight up next to my husband. So I put her in the middle and I layed next to her, and I still felt squished and every time she moved I woke up.

I just dont' know how you guys sleep with your dogs and feel rested in the morning.

LOL

I dont know how we all do it either. They dont all sleep in our bed though at the ame time. Like last night...Rasta slept with us, Charlie with Cassy, Goose in his crate and Henna with Tyler.

Did I mention Rasta is up to 82 lbs? 100% bed hog.

Funny that your dog did not fit on your bed. Kenya sleeps in my bed. I have a really big bed in my room.

LOL!!! I got lucky, Mandi is little enough that I don't even notice her. He will come up and sleep by my side when I BEG her, but she just sleeps at the end of the bed.

We sleep with all three of our girls and sometimes even the cat in a queen sized bed. I have some pain issues and can't sleep so sometimes I end up going to the other room. Gretchen usually follows (she is a Mama's baby) but the others stay in bed with my hubby.

I sleep with my 2 Springers (about 50 pounds each). They have both expirienced falling off the bed, so guess where they sleep now? On ME. Well, A.j. usually gets down in middle of the night, but until then, he sleeps half on my back, and Simetra lies on my legs.

I've got a full sized bed - Mazie lays right next to me with her head on the pillow - most of the times, she just wants to look out the window.. On warm nights, I'll even open the window and give her a better view outside without all the glare from my TV and computer screen... On cold nights, she tries to hog all the blankets...

the 2 of ours sleep between us and yeah, Bobbie tries to sleep crosswise. Very uncomfortable for us! So we move her to be parallel with us and she usually listens.

Schumi gets tired of our moving, though, and jumps down to sleep in his bed.

What I hate is when Schu lays on one side of me against my legs and Bobbie is on the other side against my stomach and I cannot turn over! The hold those covers down really tight! (62 lbs and 40 lbs)

Oh yeah, we also bought a king-size bed so we could have a place to sleep for a change! ROFL!

When I had Zoe I slept with 4 dogs in the bed now 3. Lucy sleeps with her head on the pillow beside me (40 pounds) Maggie sleeps on my back if i'm on my stomach or on my stomach if i'm on my back. Gracie sleeps next to me on the other side. She is really close to the edge. Zoe used to sleep between me and Lucy.

I'm beginning to ponder getting a bigger bed since it's only a matter of time until Aysa wants to sleep with us--and there is NO room. The other morning I woke up and immediately thought, "why am I on the edge?" Turned over to see Missie stretched as far as she could go horizontally between the other edge and myself. At least Ollie's a good boy and sleep under the covers at the end of the bed! Though he has his nights where he lays along side my legs and KICKS me. LOL Sometimes I don't wake up rested, but the hilarity and comfort of sleeping with them far surpasses that. Aysa keeps me awake worse sleeping the crate next to the bed! lol
