Ugh Goose is driving me nuts!
Good grief! I think it is his age but he is driving me crazy!
He is 9.5 months old now...all teenager all the time. He punks the other dogs 24/7, is chewing up the yard , and only listening when he feels like it. Then the very next day, different dog. Listens like a trained pro, shares toys with the other dogs....Killing me. Can he just be a year old yet? I am sooo ready. ![]() |

Oh I remember that stage!!
They test everything and think they can get away with it all, some days. Don't worry, you've got a lot of great years to look forward too once Goose gets over this bump.I remember when Harley was a 'teenager'. He used to find all sorts of things to chew, stuff to get into, would bark loudly at anything he wanted. Ahh I'm glad that's all over (ah.. well except for the barking)! ![]() |

Oh I know we have so many GREAT years to look forward too and I am so looking forward to them. I even cherich his idiot moments now.
Rasta just in the past 2 months has changed so much, grown up so much. It is amazing, so nice to be able to trust him alone in the house, out of the crate at night. It is wonderful. Thank goodness he grew up so much just in time for Goose to act like well, a Goose. LOL. |

And here I am being jealous of all you people who got the chance to raise your dogs from puppies. I think I'm starting to appreciate my love of adult dogs even more. ![]() Cass. |

OMGosh yes Cass. That is why We added Henna for our Chocolate as opposed to a puppy. Good grief I don't want to do that again. I mean it is wonderful to know them from 7 weeks old or so, but sheesh.

I'd just like to say... better you than me.
Hehehe! I feel your pain. I was telling my sister last night, though, there is just no replacement for a dog you've had the opportunity of loving and caring for for years (thinking of my relationship with Missie versus my relationship with Ollie and Aysa). You won't trade these times for the world as Goose gets older. ![]() |

LOL, Goose is being a goose
![]() Take a deep breath, try to laugh a little, because before you know it he'll be an adult and you'll miss having a pup. |

Repeat my Mantra : " I will never adopt another puppy". Yup thats my Mantra...but then you get one whiff of that puppy smell and it's all over, whats that expression.."theres a sucker born every minute"? They must have sworn not to get another puppy too.

LOL I've had those moments with Sheiba and Denali when they were younger. But with them, this stage lasted until they were atleast 2 years old. Once they hit two, they started to mellow out a bit.
Kelso was never really like that, until a couple months ago. He seemed to be getting into EVERYTHING. Trash, chewing on things on the floor... my mom and I were so flabbergasted at why he was doing this. He was around 8-11 months old when this all happened. Eeesh. LOL But I love it... I wouldn't change it. I can understand where you're coming from though -- having a puppy already, and then trying to add another in. LOL That would be chaos! |
