Found a Puppy

Yesterday me and my girl Mudd where out taking our walk when we came across a young puppy. He's probably about 12-14 wks old. He ran right up to us and said hi. Mudd did the usual dog thing and sniffed him out, while I gave him some pets (he was sooooooooo cute).
Then after we were done greeting him we continued on our way. As we started walking the little pup started following us. I tried ignoring the pup, and walking faster but he kept following us, I tried jogging just a bit to see if we could lose his while he was smelling something but he still kept following us. Then he started walking out into the road as a car was coming so I had to call him over to us. I then walked over to that side of the road thinking maybe his house is over there and thats why he wanted to go, but he just wanted to smell more things.
The pup followed us for our whole walk and then home. I put Mudd inside and left the puppy out thinking it might go home. (I did just run into it a few houses after ours) But it just sat on the front step and cried. So I decided I would take a walk with the puppy and knock on a few doors. We tried a few and nothing. Since it was already dark out and the pup is so young I brought him in for the night.
He did great sleeping in the crate with Baron.
This morning I plan on bringing him down to the shelter incase someone is looking for him and have contacted them. If not I guess I will have him for a while and put a FOUND add in the paper.
I don't know how someone could not of been actively looking for him, he's so young and just WOW looking.
Here is a picture. What kind of breeds do you think he is??

Collie/BC? What a stunning looking dog he is. He MUST have an owner looking for him for sure. He looks really clean and healthy, so someone was doing their job with him.

What a cutie! It looks like he's wearing legwarmers.

I agree, I see some collie, but I have no idea about the rest.

He does seem well cared for, and I think possibly kennel trained as well. I put him in the kennel with Baron last night and not a peep out of him. So I don't know if it's because he's use to kennels or because another pup close in age was with him.
He is also house trained, not a single mess. He does try to chew alot of things he's not allowed to, lol but what pup doesn't?
I sure hope the owners are looking for him, I know I would be. I lost Kaede once when he was a pup, he was gone probably an hour all together and I must have searched the entire neigbour hood and knocked on at least 100 doors lol. I was frantic

Aww! What a sweetie! It's good that you took him in to help find his owners. Kudos to you!

I agree with roman on the husky. He looks maybe Collie/Husky or Collie/Shepherd.

What a sweetie!

What a cutie pie! He looks well cared for! How could someone not be looking for him>?!?!

If that was me walking, the second I saw him I would have picked him up! (I have this instinct..see dogs wandering with no owner in sight, take them home..look for their owner, or a new home if no owner.)

Wow, is he gorgeous or what! Poor little guy. I think he looks like he could possibly have Collie and Akita in him.
