Angry Bookstore shock
Went to a bookstore today, while i had to wait on my meds!

Went to the dogisle, and checked through the books, of course i found something to buy...

"Me or the dogs...."

But then my eyes got cought by something that looked like it spelled Cockapoo...

cockapoo did i read that right as a booktitle? was i going too fast over the books and just imagined it???
No there it is, it says: Cockapoo
and next to it boocks with Labradoodle on them, and -oh schock- another one :goldendoodle


I was spechless, and upset...
I didn't even dare to pick up one of them books!!
I was too afraid to be too furious about them books when I take a closer look!!!
They are puplished by Kennel Club books i think...

What is going on....
i can't belive it!!!!

I even did a search on am...n, and there are lots of books out there about Designerdogs!!!

I am sooooo $%^*()^&%$#@@@@ mad!!!

I know and this makes me angery too. I seen books on Designer dogs in Petco and one more place but I can't remember where. Just so messed up !

You think that's bad? I saw a book about breeding designer dogs. One of those "Complete idiots guide to" books (quite an apt title really when you think about it ...whoops, that was rude ).

I know how you feel Kat, I saw these same "Kennel Club" books at Petsmart a few weeks ago. I actually said a few choice words out loud completely unvoluntary.

The biggest shock for me is that Petsmart is an avid promoter of rescue and working with the humane societies and shelters, how these books end up on their stores shelves is completely beyond me. A bit of a contradiction isn't it?

More people need to get to the media by TV, signs and their own books letting people know there are NO such thing as a designer dog........that they are only mixed breeds.

i was at petsmart yesterday and saw that book some wonderful lady started saying to me that golden-doodles and cockapoos are really purebred dogs and shih-tzus are designer breeds

i walked away and then went back later

cass- i always hide those books too they are always right on the top shelf so i put the books fro pure-bred dogs infront of them -oops-

Now as all of that is disgusting in its own way, just listen to this. I was in at Toys R Us and I walked over to the "Animal Ally" that they have with all of the cute stuffed animals. I'm looking at the stuffed dogs and one looks kinda weird...I picked it up to look at the breed and....it was a Cockapoo. *gag* There was one right next to it that was a Dobadoodle or something like that. You know things are sad when they are making these designer dogs into stuffed animals for kids.
