I remember those pictures!
Wow, wonder who it was that posted them? I can't remember either. Still...no matter who took them they're still amazing. Especially for this Aussie girl. We have nothing like that down here. I'd be so excited I'd explode if I saw something like that at my back door. ![]() Cass. |

Fuzzbutt attack

Oh man! If I saw a Couger outside my backdoor I think I'd have a heart attack, even thought it would be totally cool. I don't think a "Scat! Shoo, go away!" would get rid of that kittie. lol

Whoa, i would pee my pants if i saw that at my door!
Of course, if we lived in the country, around here, it would be likely to see that. There are a lot of mountian lions around here, unfortunatly. But, even living in middle of town, we still see a lot of wildlife. During spring/summer we see everything from skunks to deer (no meat-eating things, though) and during winter we see LOTS of deer because they come in to get more food. |

That is so cool!
.. In a scary sort of way. We don't get any 'interesting' wildlife in the city where I live. ![]() |

Lol, yeah, it is scary sometimes. One time, before i even got A.j., Sophie was laying on my bed, near the window, because it was open and she was getting some fresh air. All of a sudden she just freaked out, started barking and almost jumped out of the window. I looked out and thought i saw a herd of horses, i was so excited. Then i realized, it was a herd of deer, at least 7 of them. That was back when i was completely horse crazy, so i probably just wanted them to be horses.
Then once there were 2 Skunks running around near our house. And once i saw a porcupine waddling down the street. Our GRs used to always get porcupine quills in their noses. We live by a swamp, so we get a lot of wildlife. That sucks that you dont get any wildlife, i was raised here, so im so used to the wildlife, if i moved to the city, i would probably feel homesick. |

Doglover- Snopes is a site that looks at those often e-mailed around photos or stories and finds out if they're accurate or totally fictional. Gooch is saying someone posted the cougar photos on here about a year ago (probably saying they'd taken them!), and now come to find out the guy who took them took them several years ago in WI (read the story below the photos at the link)--not whoever posted them here.

How scary would that be .. Golly, I'd be so freaked out lol.
Once when we went hunting we went down this old logging trail following some fresh deer tracks(nice size buck). But when we came to the end of the deer tracks we seen some "way to fresh" bear tracks and it was HUGE. We heard it once and then bam, we walked VERY fast to the van(couldn't run because we had our rifles)..Boy talk about a heart pounding trip lol. In 2004 we went on another hunting trip only to find our selves amongst wolves- according to their howling they sounded fairly close by. I must say that it was VERY exciting but very scary for my little brother and sister . We should of not gone to this place b/c we seen scats, both weeks and day old. But we thought they'd passed thru. Nope, there were very much still around and we left promptly lol... I've had my most exciting moments while either fishing , camping(had a bear come thru out camp site one summer) and hunting.. |

Same here, the most exciting things have happened while Hunting and Camping. We go fishing, but we never see anything exciting.
Once, on my first deer-hunting trip, i just about got scared to death. I saw a HUGE herd of big, black deer... At least thats what i thought when i first saw them. Then i realized they were cows. Those where curious cows though. My dad and i had stopped to take a lunch break and the cows came and ate with us. |

Fireworks I could've swore it was some member who's not around any more. lol I would've believed any friend who'd said their cousin took them too! My favorite part is on Snopes where it says the cougar was watching the photographer's kids playing on the kitchen floor. LOL
