3AM Craving...

So here I am (Mazie, too) at my aunt & uncle's place, house / dog sitting while they're in California. At about 3am this morning, I get an urge to go to the store - for what I had no idea; I was craving something, but wasn't quite sure what it was... So I loaded up Mazie, who was excited to go for a ride, but was also too tired to really even care - she crashed in the front seat for the entire duration of the trip. Anyway, when I got to the store, I realized what my craving was ... so I grabbed a bunch of bananas, a bottle of caramel, a tub of neopolitan ice cream (why did I almost type "neopolitan mastiff"?) and a can of whipped cream. I already had the chocolate syrup at the house, so I was ready to go. After slicing the banana in half, dishing up some ice cream, topping it with whipped cream and syrup, this was the end product:

I enjoyed every bite of it, too.

Anyone else get those late-night cravings?

Whoa, that looks delicious!! Great, now you just made me hungry, lol. I dont usually have late-night cravings, but when i do, its usually for Ovaltine (spelling?) Chocolate Milk. My mom buys Ovaltine a lot, but she wont let me drink a lot of it because i like my milk really chocolatey.

I hear ya there ... I usually put 1/4 cup if not more of chocolate syrup in with my milk.. I loooove chocolate milk... chocolate shakes, too.

Oh YUM! That looks so good!

I never get cravings in the early hours of the morning, thank goodness.. I think I'm too asleep for any.

Lol, me too. Whenever my mom catches me making some chocolate milk she always says "Sheesh! Want some milk with your chocolate?!"

I love milkshakes, i make them with just a spoon, i put ice cream and milk in a cup and mix it all up.

I get those late night cravings too. I don't wake up out of a sleep for them though. Usually that's only if I'm really thirsty. But I'll be laying down watching TV and it just hits me. Hahaha

YUMMMM - that looks absolutely delicious!!!! Made me crave one of my own now!!

I always get cravings (usually for stuff like nut sundaes and chocolate) - or icey cold Tim Tams always go down well too!!

My favorite part was that not only did you 1. Have an early morning craving. 2. Go to the store not even knowing what it was. BUT, 3. you even thought to take a PICTURE of it to share with the world!

I'm actually in the process of making another one... Just hope there's some whipped cream left - I have a terrible habit of eating it right out of the can. .. LOL

That looks yummy! I love ice cream but have recently been diagnosed with diabetes so...no more ice cream for me unless I eat the sugar free kind and where is the fun in that! I had a weird craving yesterday...tomato soup with crackers!!

I haven't seen 3 am since my last son was born in 1976.

I also would NEVER go anywhere alone at night and especially in the wee early morning hours, no no, not me!!
I only remember craveing once in my entire life and that was when I was 17 and wanted some home made dill pickles that my grandmother use to make.
I haven't eaten ice-cream in a couple of years. Your banana split looks very well put together. You wouldn't by chance be dieting would you? Some folks deny their bodies a lot of things while trying to diet, and then the body goes insane for anything sweet and fatening.
