can a puppy kill you
Well I am certainly on my way to dying lol so is Wayne. I think we are to darn old to have puppies anymore and we keep forgetting how early the little darlings get up.
Annie only has to hear us cough and she starts whinging so we are very bleary eyed at the 5 oclock starts to the day. It even got so bad we went back to bed when she tired out Bella is quite disgusted at the early rising and flatly refuses to get up till 8 am her usual time Sophy on the other hand is happy to start before day break. I love puppies but I am lloking forward to Annie learning to sleep in till at least 7 ![]() |

LOL! Maybe if you had about 3 more puppies, they would all just tire each other out and THEN you would be able to sleep right through it! LMAO Mandi is my little alarm clock too. Even when we don't have school she still has the pleasure of making sure I 'meant' to sleep in by licking my face to wake me up!

LOL Linnie - your house sounds like it's pretty full on 24/7!!
I think that's why they make all puppies so cute and give them that special puppy breath - otherwise we wouldn't be able to handle all the sleepless nights, toilet training, chewing stuff up etc...... and I still think they are worth every last moment of it!!! |

UGHHH I feel your pain. Zuki STILL gets up at the crack of dawn. One bird peeping outside and he hits my chest, slobbering all over my face, little stump tail wagging a mile a minute. I haven't set my alarm since we got him last May.

Cindy Lou wakes me up every morning wanting to be fed. This morning it was a little before 7! She is three so I guess it's nothing she is going to outgrow!

Not sure is puppies can "kill" you or not, but when I was raising 6 sons, I just knew I would die before they were raised.
WEW!! Lots of work kids and puppies are!! Well worth the final result though. I am not an early riser myself either. Anything before 7 and I'm out of it the rest of the day. |

I don't think they can kill you persay, just drive you insane :P but you know with the cuteness and kisses and snuggling and such...you can't help but forgive them for the parts that drive you mad!

I swear they can, Linnie. LOL With my early risers I'll get up and let them out to go potty, then they are expected to entertain themselves in my bedroom while I go back to sleep!
Aysa used to get me up at 6, so we'd go out and then instead of putting him back in his crate I'd just close my bedroom door and he was allowed to play with his stuffies while I went back to sleep (usually when he was DONE squeaking his stuffies. lol!). Now if he wakes up and needs to go out before I do, we go out and then HE comes in and goes right back to bed. ![]() |

Kelso would wake up at 6AM every morning and ask to be let out of his crate to go potty. I'd let him out, and go back to bed. LOL He actually spent the rest of the morning outside, and by the time I got up, he was still out there.
Everyone sleeps in here though. However, if they need to go potty, they'll let you know, but will happily come back inside to go back to sleep. But we leave the backdoor open (while it's cool) so they have free run until it gets hotter out. But the schedule at our house would still be okay because I let them out before I go to sleep, then my mom gets home around 12-2AM (she's been trying to work under the table until this SSI goes through) and doesn't sleep till 4AM. My dad gets up at 4 to get ready for work. Then I'm up at 6:30 for school. So they have around the clock potty breaks. Most of the time they're snoring though. LOL |

lol, I know that would be a craaazy idea for you Linnie.
So far the worst that's happened for me is just to wake up to Aysa with one of my stuffed animals in his crate. I don't leave any down for that reason, but there was one kind of tucked in amongst other things on my book shelf, and sure enough, he found it and somehow managed to take it without knocking anything over at all! lol Or my slippers and socks will end up in his crate, but I don't mind that--they're washable. ![]() |

Daisy is a sleeper..just like her mommie..
Shammie on the other hand . He has developed a morning ritual, to wake me up.1) quick polite nose lick 2) lick and whine combination..(difficulty level 3) 3) lick, whine and paw slap on top of head combination (difficulty level 6) 4)Overly dramatic whine. This takes a very talened actor to accomplish. You have to have a good combination of panic ( so mom will think your bladder is about to burst) and melodrama (often sounds lke Chewbaka dying in severe pain) with a good lip flap of disdain at YOUR laziness. (difficulty level 10) The trick to staying in your nice warm bed for at least another 1/2 hour is to NEVER ..I mean NEVER let him see you open your eyes. If he does..your toast. ![]() |
