Need A Good Carpet Cleaner

Hi Everyone. My family and I are in need of a good carpet cleaner. We had just moved into our dream house about 1 month ago, but there was one downfall. The basement has a few spots that are covered in pet stains. We estimating that is several months old and cannot seem to remove the stains.

We have tried many products where we got down on the floor and scrubbed ourself. It has helped remove some of the coloring, but not 100%.

Are there any other products, vaccums, or tips and tricks that we could try? We have spent a lot of money on other items, that getting a professional to come is not an option at the moment.

Thanks for any help!

If your talking about carpet, I would rip it up and just clean the cement foor till you can afford to put some kind of flooring besides carpet. I love being able to clean floors rather than have carpeting. I can't wait to get the LR carpet pulled up and put wood flooring down. I will always have carpet in the bedrooms though.

As far as a spot cleaner I've had great luck with woolite oxy spray (I don't know the actual name, but that should get you there. It even got blood out almost instantly when Blaze was spayed

You could try renting a steam cleaner?

I do think the pros do the best job if that becomes an option. When we moved into this house, we thought we'd have to relace the old carpets in the bedrooms, they were so gross. We really didn't want to spend the money. We had it professionally cleaned and it didn't cost that much considering how much you spend buying various sprays and cleaners that don't actually work very well. Turns out the carpet isn't actually in too bad of shape and it's beige not grey!

Good luck. Set in stains are tough. If carpet stain products like Folex aren't working, I would try Zout laundry spot cleaner (not Shout) and after a spot test (to make sure it doesn't change the color) I would try oxy clean.

I've had great success with oxygen products like Gooch and Sammy mentioned. I think I use Clorox Oxyfresh or something like that? Takes out old stains and new.
