when he asked to shovel my first question would have been "for how much?" He should have been upfront with his intentions, but you as the adult should have inquired a bit.....Kids assume you know what they mean

just to show how nice i really am i found where the kid lived (5 doors down) and gave him the extra 15 dollars

i said sorry you deserved it and he said thank you and asked if he could play wiht max a littl while in my yard

i said he could come over tomorrow at 4 (when max isn't so hyper)

Im only 14, but thats exactly how i am. My parents complain because i dont answer the phone, but i just dont like to talk to bill collectors and stuff. We dont have caller ID, but i really want it so i can see if its family or not. I dont answer the phone either, i sneak up to the door so i can see the shadow of the person knocking. But, my family and friend all just walk in slowly, they usually dont knock, so i know if its someone knocking, i probably wouldnt want to talk to them.
