I forgot to mention the safety factor. I've been thinking about leaving my dogs in my house to roam (now that everybody is housebroken) while I'm out. I've changed my mind -- they will be crated if left at home alone. They can get into things like electric cords so quickly. Even when I'm home I keep one eye on them to make sure they don't hurt themselves.

Thats what i do. When i know im going to be gone for more than 30 minutes, i make sure to keep them in their crates. There are so many dangerous things in my room for dogs, ranging from electical cords (for a computer, a lamp, a sterio, and a battery charger) to a knife (for chopping rat food).

Annie is confined if I have to go out without her but Izzie and Sophy have free access to the family room, It is dog safe unless I forget and leave some artbook out.
Sophy is a well read dog she ate my atlas, my gardening book and a travelling book lol
I learnt its not a good thing to leave around
