Naughty doggies

Last night , when we came home, Daisy instead of running to the door with her usual happy dance/parade ran under the kitchen table and sat very nicely ..with her eyes shut. INSTANT SUSPICION

A quick look around discovered a blanket (my bad... forgot to put away) that had been defluffed alll over the living room.

I thought it was kind of funny that she knew she was naughty and hid. I didn't scold her, damamge was done, so no point in it. Iwas just wondering what everyone elses furry friends do if they're guilty of something.

If Shamous has done something he's not supposed to he will bring me a prized cow hoof as a present ...such bribery!!! It's his equivalent to flowers as an apology I guess.

LOL That's too funny! Like "Oh Mommy dearest! I thought you might like this hoof today! It's so smelly and stinky!"

Shammie is always crated when I'm away. Daisy on the other hand cannot be in a crate. She freaks so bad I am afraid she will injure herself. On the very rare occasion she does get into something (always my fault for leaving it out or a door open) Shamous ALWAYS looks guilty in his crate. Ummmm...dude we know it wasn't you...you're locked up...

I'll bet it looked like snow in your LR! Funny in a way, but it shoudn't be.
Mine stay in the kitchen breakfast area if they have to stay home alone. I just don't want to take any chances of anything happening to them otherwise.

When Blackie does something wrong he will come see me, but then he'll abase himself in front of me. Like one time he got into the trash and had it scattered all over the yard. I went outside and saw the mess and he dropped the trash he had, came to me, and then just lay down in front of me. He was too cute to get yelled at. lol

Rose doesn't really do anything, but whenever she catches a mouse or has a prized rawhide bone, whenever I walk outside she has to present her lovely prize at my feet. Then I laugh at her and she picks it up and goes away to eat it.

When we had Sadie, if she did something REALLY wrong, she would stand still with her head and tail down. Otherwise, she thought getting into trouble was the best game in the world! *shakes head* Sometimes she would get really excited and piddle a bit on the floor. As soon as she would this horrified look would cross her face and she'd run as fast as she good to the back door. She was just too cute.

I find their personalities to be so funny. I know a lot of people believe that dogs really do not know (after the fact) they have done something they're not supposed to and not to punnish them (they live in the moment) but you all have to admit..you know when your dog has been naughty by their behavior.

Bobbie will not meet me at the door either and that sends up alert flags. She's usually good about not getting stuff, even if left out. Unless it's way too tempting (like knitting needles and yarn) or she's been stressed.

I was out of town last week for 5 days. When I got back, she was selective in her "chomping" and chewed up a pencil, seam-ripper and the cord to my PDA. Lots of other things she could have gotten. but I think she was really stressed and anxious while I was gone and even when I came home. This was her display.

Plus like a dummie, I left stuff on the bed after unpacking and all those little pretties (that are usually put away) were way more temptation than a 1 year old could stand!

lol, that sounds a lot like Peanut! I will walk into a room, and Peanut will see me..and then roll over on his back, and I KNOW he did something wrong, so I go looking..and usually find he got into something. When he doesn't do anything bad, he jumps around and acts like a crazy dog!!
