Nothing in the world, nothing day to day will work right or run smoothly if you're dealing with dishonest people. You have to know the person you're doing business with, planning important things with, learning from.....every aspect of life. Didn't you ever know a person who wasn't what you first thought they were? They put on a mask for a long time and you thought they were great. But in the end, they caused a lot of damage?

It makes the world a better place because honesty, forthrightness and openess starts at the individual level and spreads throughout all levels which affect the world, making it a better place. Can it stop rapes and murders? I doubt it, but what can other than eliminating those perpertrators? So I guess in addition to all that, I'd say, capitol punishment.
