The weather?

This doesn't have anything to do with dogs, but I was just wondering what kind of weather everybody has been having. He had ice, then snow, then rain and now it is lighting out. (My poor little Rosie dog is probalby scared to death!

) As soon as this rain passes we are going to be getting more snow.

And as you can imagine, our yard is standing in water because of all of the rain, snow, and ice that has melted. So, what weather are you guys having?

We are flooding here but they say it is going to get down to 10 degrees...ack!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Wow! Got skates?

Here it has been snowing off and on, mostly on for several days and it's accumulating to about 2 or more feet. It's snowing as we speak and about 20 degrees...quite balmy out. It's wonderful, powder snow. It is suppose to get down below 0 sometime this week I heard. That is cold. Anything from 17 to 30 degrees is just fine with me. But below zero....you start to feel it. LOL.

Some days it's cloudy and snowing and then some days it clears up and there are blue skies and sun. There are White pine, Ponderossa pine, Scotch pine and some other pines, cedar, Douglass fir, Nobel fir, Grand Fir, spruce, tamarak, some deciduous trees and they are laden with snow. It's a winter wonderland.

It's finally let up, but it was nasty here most of the day. They wound up closing the schools, the college etc. If you didn't have chains, they said stay home (which I did, don't have to tell me twice LOL

). I shovelled off and on all day, couldn't hardly keep up. Last night it had rained, snowed, rained, snowed, repeatedly, then turned to just snow around 3am. I was watching some elm trees branches breaking/crashing down while I was shovelling. Yikes. We live near a river, and we are low.. will be interesting this spring when it thaws. We have around 3 or more feet right now.

We've been having crazy wierd weather!!!! We had absolutely no snow for the longest time, then i a huge snowfall just before christmas, then after christmas it melted all away then we got a lil bit of snow but it's supposed to melt away tomorrow with rain, then rain until thursday and everything freeze on friday....CRAZY!!! I just want my snow for dogsledding!!!! it can do w/e it wants AFTER I race!!!

It's been raining and raining and raining for about the last week now, I think. I don't mind at all, as the temperature hasn't dropped too bad during the day, and I've been staying inside.

Today it's started to clear, and I'm grateful.

I can't seem to get any snow here either. We have had a few days where it dusted about 1 inch of snow, but it doesn't last past noon. We keep going to the mountains and playing in it instead. Today is the last day of my wonderful vacation and of course since I am going back to work tomorrow it is supposed to snow all day! Woe is me, I will be deicing planes and eating glycol all night instead of making snowmen and snowweiners.

We are having very hot days around 38 degrees celcius i am sweating on winter coming again lol, The girls like the summer weather but I am terrified of snakes getting them so I hate summer

I wish I could have feet of snow but then i suppose I would have dogs that wouldnt go out because they would get wet cold underbellies.

Do your dogs balk at going out in the rain and snow??

Last night we had hail and freezing rain so this morning everything was coated in ice and school got canceled!!! WOOHOO!!!! Had a REALLY hard time getting OC out of the kennel though....the latch was encrusted in ice >_< I finally just started kicking it until all the ice broke off and out trotted a happy lil OC LOL The inside of the kennel? Completly dry and no one bit of ice haha

Good for you, OC! No school was always the best. Sometimes I miss that. LOL

Today will be really warm for January. It'll get up to almost 70 but it's ugly ugly outside. Dark and cloudy and threatening to rain. Ick. Always puts me in a sour mood.

This is our weather for today...

Today .. Blizzard developing near noon. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming northwest 50 gusting to 70 near noon. High minus 15 with temperatures falling this afternoon. Wind chill minus 37 this morning and minus 45 this afternoon.
Tonight .. Blizzard ending this evening then a few clouds. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low minus 32. Extreme wind chill minus 46.

Not looking forward to any of that

We've been having warmer than usual weather. Right now it's foggy outside and 45 deg F. It's normally colder than that around this time of year. Kinda wish it would snow at least once this year.
