I'm torn, I think they should not have traded the dog for a hamster, but I think the new owners should have been kind enough to update. If anyone has info for this lady, please call her.

Very sad, but you know what? I can't relate to anyone giving their dog away in the first place and if they must, wouldn't you think they'd think about it until they felt darn sure? That would be the least one would expect. Someone who could give their pet dog away for a hamster isn't worthy of the dog. Hopefully, the new owners are.
Once you give something away, tough luck. Right? Or am I just too hard hearted?

March '04 was a long time ago to just now realize you want the dog...10 months have gone by.

Is the hamptser still with them?

That's ok, it was publicly posted on Craigslist in Raleigh if anyone needs it. I wasn't sure I was taking it that they wanted their dog back, only an update from the person who took the dog. Maybe I read it the wrong way. *shrugs*

I'm sorry but I just don't have any pity for someone who not only trades their dog for a hamster but then they supposedly come to their senses 10 months later? 10 months folks, not 10 hours or even 10 days but 10 months!?!

If someone were to post an ad saying they wanted to trade their bulldog or any other dog for that matter for a hampster or something else ( hmm, what was the other...oh yes, an X-Box ) I'd trade them alright and they wouldn't be hearing from me either. My first thought would be how uncaring the owner must be and why would I bother sending them updates?
