Poor poor golden...

in my neighborhood there is a beautiful Golden Reteriver (sp)..... i swear i think that family just bought him and chained him up that day! he has NEVER been inside, his name is Lucky, but he would be lucky to find a fmaily that rele loves him.... i am gonna try to get a pic of him, but its sad.... they even leave him out in the rain! NO DOGHOUSE EITHER! they used to tie him up to a metal flag pole but decided AFTER HE GOT SHOCK BY LIGHTING he could go on the CLOTHSLINE!!!! AHHHHHH! it rele makes me mad, he is such a beautiful dog, maybe only 2...... they rele need to give him to a family that loves him......

If he doesn't have shelter, maybe you should call animal control. If I'm not mistaken, dogs are supposed to have food, water and shelter.

I think you really need to call animal welfare on them. That's abuse.

I have to agree ChiChi. That family really needs to think about what is best for there dog. And being tied up and not being allowed any inside time with the family is horrible. Not to mention no DOG HOUSE !!!!! thats a disgrace...
I think they should have to walk in there dogs shoes for a day. Then maybe reality will slap them in the face.

That is abuse. You should especially report that he has no shelter, food, or water, and that they wouldn't give him shelter even after he got struck by lightning. It's awful.

he does have food and water, and i am gonna contact animal control, but try to stay "hidden" (tell them not to give out my name)..... they dont even play with him.... my little sister is friends with the owner.... she said that the collar is way to small....... the clothesline is only like 6 ft long and hes attached to a 3ft leash to connect...... they dont play with him, he has no toys, my sister said he has a DEAD SQUIRREL for a toy!!!!!! i rele need to contact animal control, i hopefully am going to the shelter this week..... but i am gonna contact the animal control.... i HAVE to.

That is so sad. I just can't stand it. Do try and call animal welfare or some rescue. Maybe they'd have some idea or someone to go out and tell those people if they don't want the dog, if it's too much trouble to give it a life, someone else would want it. Maybe they'd give it to you if your parents wanted another dog.

You can report this without them using your name. I have done this before, they will take your name for the report but will not give it to the owners. This is definitly abuse! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call soon. This poor dog needs to be taken care of.
