Finally: West Highland owners!

I just finished writing the West Highland White Terrier owners (Neighbors, Behavior Problems) a letter and copying Dog Fancy's December 2004 article on the breed. In the letter I offer to walk their dogs. I hope they accept!!

Thanks guys....if they don't accept I think I'm gonna die...they know nothing about the breed and let their dogs leave the yard and run in the street.

Ritz--good luck with the Boxers!! That would be great for you, especially spending more time around a breed you really love.

Gaddy, way to go! I'm curious, why don't you just knock on their door and ask if you can walk their dogs for them? It's easier to ignore a letter than it is somebody in your face with a leash in their hand.

I'm going on vacation tomorrow (wah, don't want to leave my girls!) so I'm not sending it yet, incase they call while we're gone and all that, but as soon as I get back, I am sending it right away and praying and hoping for the best.

Thanks Carrie! Yeah, LOL. I'll try to, but it's kind of hard for someone who's usually quiet around strangers...after a while I get a little crazy though, with lots of laughing and freaking people out.

Hey! Yup, I'm back.

Over a week ago we were in Indiana.

Ok, well, the "Westie lady" called while I was preparing the girls' food. My Mom answered and told me who it was. I froze like a deer in car headlights

. I am normally shy around people I "just don't know". So my Mom talked to her, and found out that one of the Westies died

! She was twelve-years-old and died on Christmas day.
