Statue and Tail

First, I'll tell Duke's "I'm alive mom!" story from today.

I was sitting on the sofa, just got done eating lunch and was watching TV. Duke comes trotting in, turns around, and just stands there staring down the hall. He didn't move for a couple minutes so I said "Uh-oh, I guess Dukie died standing." He still didn't move, so I got up, started walking over to him, and just whispering his name. He still didn't move, but I could see him watching me out of the corner of his eye. I started playing with his butt, masaging it and fiddling with his legs... he still didn't move. So I said "Uh-oh, I guess Dukie really did die." So, I picked him up and started carrying him down the hall. I didn't get 3 feet before his legs were going a mile a minute, flailing all around like "MOM! MOM!! I'm alive gosh darn it!"

Now his "I have a tail?!?" story.

I believe it was Christmas Eve. Duke was walking around, doing absolutely nothing as usual. He walked into the living room where the tree was, and all of a sudden looked at his butt. And then he saw 'it', something was attacking his butt. There was this short red thing, which was strikingly almost the same hue of red as the rest of him. So he takes off after it and runs circles trying to get this evil 'thing' off of him. It was quite funny to watch. When he first saw it the "What the...?!" face was priceless.

Red hot! Loved those stories. They are so.........so........Doberboyish. I can really picture that. Dobermans are such clowns, so theatrical and so humorous. Aren't they just a kick?

HAHA Duke sounds like a hoot!!!! OC chases his tail every time he catches it out of the corner of his eye and when he's frusterated. I think he thinks all bad things are resulted due to his tail....LOL
