Heres my desk.. I picked it up Friday so its cleaner then it is most of the time... I just never get around to really cleaning it. The only time I really think about cleaning it, is when my mom comes upstairs and about faints when she comes over to my desk :-D

I LOVE THIS THREAD! WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR FUN! YOU GUYS ARE TERRIFIC WITH ALL YOUR DESKS, MESS OR NOT.
When I was in real estate quite a while ago, our office broker proclaimed that the most productive agents had the messiest desks and were smokers. (DON'T start smoking, whatever you do, just be messy if that helps) LOL.You are spared a look at my desk as I don't have a digital camera....unless this subject is not forgotten sometimes in the future when my current roll of film is developed. LOL. ![]() |

ah ok, since this thread will probably be gone when I get the wires for my camera, here's a very grainy picture of my desk. (And snooping little dog)
![]() You can see why I don't really like my desk.. Every single wire underneath shows through. if I could magically make those wires go away, it'd look great. ![]() |

Understandable, cuz you can see right through that glass. I have a glass top on my desk, but it's got I guess you call it a frosting? So you can just barely see shadows down there. I really don't have much for wires anyways... I don't have a tower, the most wires are from my Linksys Wireless Router and the DSL modem. Then the printer of course, and I also have a printer dock hooked up for the digital camera.
Ohh.. and on the cell phone thing. I'm like Quincy, I don't like them. HOWEVER, I did always carry one when friends and I would be off in the hills riding our horses, in case we had an emergency. One time it paid off ~ we were on the far northeren edge of Las Vegas, riding out of town, when we saw a HUGE ~ had to have been a million dollar home, just starting to catch on fire from what looked to be an old fire the workers had lit that morning to keep warm. The wind had picked up and blown sparks in the house. This home was still under construction. No one was around, I think they were off to lunch or gone home early, I don't know. But we called the fire department from a cell phone and saved that house. I don't currently ride, sold my horses when I moved from Vegas, so I don't use a cell phone right now. If.. well.. WHEN (it's inevitable) I pick up riding again, I will get another phone. Ya just never know. |

LOL @ all the desks, mine looks like a bombs hit it at the moment. We could do one of those infinate photos, someone does a photo of their monitor, the next takes a picture of their monitor showing the first monitor, the next does their monitor showing the second, showing the first and so on and so.

Here is my desk. It's cluttered but clean at the same time. Does that make sense? LOL I want a new desk sooo bad. One like an armoire with doors that can close and hide all the clutter. Notice the couch cushion shoved underneath and on both sides so Lucy can't get under there and chew through all the wires. It's a quick fix for puppy proofing until I can think of something better. The little worm can wiggle under the cushions so I have to keep an eye on her! LOL

I have a cell phone but I really need one for safety. Being a horseback rider I like to go out on trails and ANYTHING could happen (horse gets spooked, you fall off) so it's good to have a cell to call for help.
Also I have a knack of not being at home for days at a time and going to various places during that time so it put my parent's mind at ease when they have a number that's garunteed to reach me. And on top of all that, I have friends who live far away (kinda) and are long distance to call and with the plan I'm on sometimes calling them from my phone isn't long distance, and also if i'm at their place and need to call hom for w/e reason I feel bad asking to use the phone so it's nicer just to have my own. Oh ya and to add one more, I'm involved in drama and sometimes we have to go out to buy things but by the time we get to the store we forget exactly what we needed and usually there isn't much time so it's nice to have a cell to be able to quickly call the director back than to have to run around town and locate one of the 2 pay phones we have (one of which is on the outskirts of town). Cheers! |
