Red face Of Course The Giant Won

Of course the Giant Schnauzer Jacke won the WORKING GROUP....Sorry all you dobey and boxer fans....but the judge knows what dog was best...HOWEVER..that "Giant" schnauzer was tiny...she was a female..my boy is going to be at least 85-90lbs...I imagine Jacke the Giant female was around 70-74lbs......I cant believe coleman didnt win the whole thing...he was gorgeous.....

You're kidding! I can't remember that Bloodhound's name but I'd seen him before, he's a fabulous dog. It IS a male, right? If not, then I think it's a different dog.

Cole? The giant schnauzer? Carrie... our dogs' ganddaddy beat Cole BAD a couple years ago! It was hilarious - everyone thought Cole was going to win, they even did a little featurette with his owner... then the judge points to RP! RP ended up taking BIS as well... mwahaha!

BTW - are you giving Lyric milk thistle? I've just started Ilsa on it...

Oh yea....Repo Man not only beat in that one, but top Doberman in the country and top of all breeds in the country many times over. He was phenomenal. He, as you probably know died recently. (just mentioned that for other readers)

I think Milk Thistle is a wonderful idea. That's for the liver, right? I will get some. Also, how about that Taurine? It's in some of the premium foods...forget if it's in the one I'm feeding, but that's good stuff too.

Thanks for the reminder on the milk thistle.

NO! RP passed away? He was such a beautiful, beautiful animal - a stallion of a dog. Just looking at pictures of him gives me chills. Wow - I'm truly saddened and stunned - what was the cause?

I understand it was prostate cancer and also he had some liver problem. Liver problems are one of those health issues that Dobes are prone too. (one of many)It is a shame. He wasn't very old...6 or 7. Most of her dogs, as I understood had quite good longevity, something I was interested in and looked into. But even still, one little gene can sneak past some generations and pop up out of nowhere. Lyric is neutered, so that shouldn't be a problem. But the liver.....my vet said probably not a genetic deal when I told him. But who knows? I don't know what exactly the liver thing was in RP. Bonnie's liver is messed up and I have no idea why. So....as the saying goes, junk happens.

He was a spectacular dog, a real winner and was suppose to have a lovely temperament...a real sweetie. I wish I could have met him.

Oh, and Mary, Repo's breeder & Lyric's sire's just won breeder of the year award. I think that was Doberman breeder and all breed breeder...not positive, but I think that is what the breeder who had the dam of Lyric told me.

I wasn't too impressed with the Dobie in the show. Her coat was beautiful, but her physique was kind of flat

LOL. I missed the Dobe. I was so ticked. They have so many commercials that I drifted off during one and I could hear, in my semi-conscious state the commentator saying something about the only dog named after a person...and some other things. I knew he was talking about the Doberman and I knew I was missing it, but couldn't get all the way awake or open my eyes. Gawd, I was p.o'd! Guess I didn't miss much then. (?)

I think the Dobie had just gotten back into the ring after having a litter of pups, which may explain a less-than-perfect physique. I saw pictures of her and was pretty impressed - in my eyes she was a lovely animal, but I also can't claim to know too much about dobes.

Yep Knotty is a male and even more beautiful in person. A really awesome representation of the breed.
