Cute Little Habits!!!
OK this is a fourm page/pages were you tell your pets cute little habits good or bad!
Ok Alley has one. It only happen in the winter time. MY dad is the Alpha the leader, to my dog. Alley sleeps in the house because it has been freezing cold out latly. Well when my dad goes to work he puts alley in her kennal for the day, or till my or my brother get home from school. She hides behind the chair in our living room. It is so cute her ears are down adn she looks scared, as if she knows that she is going to have to go outside in the cold. My dad let her stay in today, because its MLKD and we have school off. he called her name really sweet adn gentlely, Alley Alley. She doesn't move an inch just looks staright forward, aww so cute. Then he says all thease sweetly things in an excited way, her eyes move toward him and back then one taill wag. He goes its ok Alley. then leaves for work. I say its ok alley!!! she gets all excited and acts normal again. LOL SHe is very smart, she hides, thinking that if they forget about her she gets to stay in the house all day. She is laying next to the office chair right know, sleeping quietly, all warm adn comfy in the house!! She is such a sweety I love her so much! |

Sounds like being outside in winter, alone, is a horrible experience for her. Perhaps her kennel isn't very warm and inviting.
Hmm... ok my dog has something cute that he does (well he has several things but I don't have time to type them all right now ). He likes to sleep on our lounges, but he's so small that after he picks which lounge he wants to sleep on, he will trot up to the lounge and stand up on his backlegs against the lounge like he's checking the height. Then he backs right up and digs his back feet into the carpet ready to launch, but decides he's not quite sure and goes back to "check" the lounge again. Then he backs up again, moving his bum around to make sure nothing is behind him and he......... chickens out and goes to check the lounge again. LOL He "checks", backs up and chickens out about 4 times before he launches himself onto the lounge (which he does successfully... he's a bouncy boy, I tell ya!). It's the funniest thing. I wish I could catch him on camera doing it. Cass. |

Bailey has the annoying habit of stealing things for a treat. She will jump up on the desk and steal a pen or an important bill, w2 form, whatever she can find and run back in forth infront of me so I know she has it. Then she darts off and tries to get me to chase her. No matter how I call her, grab her favorite toy as ransome, pretend I'm not interested and ignore her, run the other way to get her to come to me.....nothing works except getting that treat jar. As soon as I go in the kitchen to get the treat she follows me with her tail wagging, when I hand her the treat she puts the stolen item right on my foot, takes the treat as nicely as you please and trots off laughing her fool head off! Grrrrrr.

Hrm, lets see, Sheiba has an annoying habit of stealing my underwear
I don't know why she does it, but it has become a favorite pass time of hers LOLDenali likes to yank on the side of the dogs faces. She grabs onto their loose skin, and tries to drag them across the floor. I say "Ouch, Nali! Ouch!" and she lets go. Sometimes I have to clap my hands to get her attention. Sargent's bad habit would be... umm, licking? He doesn't do much that annoys me, but I hate when he starts cleaning himself and I hear his jaw go *lick, clump, lick, clump...* Ahhh! LOL Sheiba has a cute thing that she does, when she wants to look cute, she starts to "wOOO woOo" very softly and starts singing. Then she'll talk to me and go "Rahhhh rahhhh" LOL I wish I could get it on video tape. She's too funny. I love when she gets spunky too... Denali's cute habit is rubbing her face. If she's tired and doesn't wanna get up, or you just wanna mess around with her, and you say "What're you doin?!" and she'll start to rub her face with her paws. If she hops in the bed with you, she'll smash her face into the covers and let you scratch all over her head. Bubby's cute habit would be when you're eating. There are times when he forgets he's not to be begging *shame shame* and he'll lay his muzzle on the arm of the chair, foot of the chair, or whatever is closest, and just look up at you with the puppy eyes. Then I notice he's there, and tell him go lay down. Then there's a huge drool spot where he was laying LOL |

Immy has this cute thing she does when she wants your attention; she'll sit flat of her butt with her back legs out in front of her crossed and put her front paws over her stomach, then, every time someone walks by she'll cock her head, sing and wave at you.
Little Peebs lounges and sleeps upside down on my love seat. If your ever looking for Peebs just find the nearest love seat and their she'll be. lol The funny thing is that when you tell her its time to go out or time for bed she won't budge, you have to go over and pick her up like a baby then she'll literally try to throw her head back to be put back down and could care less if you lose your grip and she falls.....she'll still pretend she's sleeping. I think our funniest is Dottie; Miss Dot HATES going for walks and has a pretty unique way of telling you about it, she'll start off ok, just walking along but, when Dot feels she's gone far enough ( usually the end of the drive ) she'll throw herself onto the ground, roll over onto her back and pretend she's asleep....this even comes complete with snores. lol Doesn't matter what you say, what you try to bribe her with or how hard you try to roll her back over. She becomes complete dead weight ( all 63 pounds of her ) and will press herself firmly against the ground when you try to pick her up. Dottie will peek out of one eye to see if your still there and as soon as she can see your looking at her, she'll clamp that eye back shut and go right back to snoring. This goes on till you finally give in and literally carry her back to the house....once she's back inside she suddenly grows legs again and trots off happily. ![]() |

Well...Lyric keeps...oh, nevermind, that's not cute, not one bit. Let's see....something cute...He's so thrilled when it's a new day and it's time to wake up. He and I come out of my bedroom and he is in the lead, down the hall. He knows I'm coming behind him, but keeps stopping and turning around to see if I'm for sure coming. He can't just look over his shoulder, but has to make a big production of turning all the way around and coming back to me. He has a bit of difficulty turning and his feet are slipping every which way on the vinyl floor because he's in a hurry. He'll do this about 3 or 4 times till we're in the kitchen. Then he stares at me, freezes in place and his little tail is going full throttle. He makes a bounce and a jerk and goes to the door to be let out. He's just so thrilled to be alive.
Bonnie is just as thrilled when it's 4:00. She can tell time right to the minute and tells me it's time to eat dinner. She bounces around and knocks her rear into my legs, turns and does it again, getting dog hair all over my pants. Chulita will get very playful when I talk to her in a certain voice. She will get a toy on command and if there is no toy around, she'll find something to substitute for a toy. She is very cute and spritely, quick to grab up something and toss it, spinning around and around. When I think she's getting too excited, (trachea starts collapsing) I have to stop the play. As soon as I stop and am calm, so she settles right down. I love it how she goes along with the program so well. LOL Jose is a major character and loves to play, often first thing in the morning. If I'm busy and not paying attention to him, he'll entertain himself very well. I can hear him killing his toy, play growling, barking at it and throwing it for himself and pouncing on it. He is almost 3 and still very much the puppy. When he barks, he not only barks, but really howls, a high pitched, long, steady howl. Funny for a Chi. Who would have thunk it? I think Bailey is very smart. She figured out how to get treats from you Barrett. LOL. That's a scream. Icey, I can relate to that. LOL. They all seem to do stuff like that. Cassie, that's cute and funny. Jose is like that. He makes several attempts to get on the couch. I don't know why because he can do it. So, if he can do it, why not the first time? LOL. He's not as good a jumper as Chulita, not by a long shot. She's so light and springy, one little leap and she's up. Toypoodleluver How does your dog do when she is in the house loose during the day? If she's well behaved, why not leave her in. It sounds like she definitely doesn't like being out there all alone. She is trying (smart) to make herself unseen. Cute, but kind of sad. Of course, I'm such a sucker sometimes. |

or we have a doggy dog going threw our garage. She has an isalted dgo house above the ground, with nice blankets in there. a reason she doesn't like going in there is because, we put fresh water out twice a day, and when the water freezes it makes a cracking noise and that scares her. We have to lock the doggy door so at night she doesn't go outside and sleep. During the summer she is commpleatly fine. it is the cold, and obviously a dog would rather be inside then out, anyone for that matter. AND we have a heater in our garage that keeps it warmmer. We can't have her in the house because she would get into every thing in the kitchen, eat useed kleenexes and pull out eveything in the garbage, eat the cat food. Alley really likes to test boundries. Also our cat might beat up on her.(yah she is afraid of our cat) Sox is very agressive with alley. oh well. In winter she is in the house most of the time. Exceot during school hrs.other wise inside. ![]() OK sry if I sounded defenceive(sp?) |

Bentley sings. I will softly sing to him and he sings along LOL. Then the other two start in, so I wind up singing with three pugs.
Bentley also thinks I MUST play fetch with him in the morning when I am putting on my makeup/fixing my hair. He brings his toys to me, slaps his paw down on the carpet and does his aawww awwww arrooooooo howl/bark until I throw it. That pug LOVES to play fetch and has gotten very good at jumping up and catching what I'm throwing. I learned last year though that I have to know when to make him stop.. he'll do it over and over, and one time, he actually seemed to make himself very sore the next day. I had him vet checked, nothing was odviously wrong... I am pretty sure he simply over-did it.. so I have to be careful with him. Since we've been careful, we've had no problems. Another Bentley thing.. a more annoying one (LOL) is if I am online too long, he'll grab a toy, drop it between the headboard of the bed and the wall and then cry and moan and have a general fit until I reach down and give it back (mission accomplished, I'm not at the computer - smart pug). Winston ... well one thing he does do that IS annoying is when we pull the feeders out of the bird cages to clean out the hulls, Winston YIPES this loud loud YIPE. He wants to go outside where I sort the seed (the wild birds like to clean up what goodies I might drop). Bentley is picking up his habit. Oh and Winston will wave at me for attention. Looks identical to that pug on that flea commercial. Only odd habit Oscar has, I can't post. Funny, but slightly sick. lol |
