Today was a good day!

I am in MESA (Math, Engineering and Science Assoctiation)--nerd, I know . I was in the Model heart group, and even though my group deserted me untill the day of the competition (erases bad thoughts from memory)...we did pretty good! I spent WAY TOO MANY hours making the heart..the BIG heart (min. 31cmx31cmx5cm--ours was much bigger). So today was the competition day, and we got 1st place (out of 10)!!! We were very excited!! I will put pictures up soon!

THEN, I got home a little later than usual so Mandi's afternoon walk just happened to be when the elementary school down the street let out! And, as you know, Mandi was not fully socialized as a puppy--completely my fault but we have been working on it! Today...just about every kid that passed wanted to pet her, and SHE WENT UP TO THEM!!! It was very amazing! and she LET THEM PET HER!!!!! I was sooo happy! Normally she doesn't like the little kids because they always want to pet her face, and she will 'duck' with strangers when they go to pet her--but today she didn't! Then we were almost at out house and these two little boys came BOLTING down the sidewalk, and Mandi *thought about* barking at them, and I told her no--AND SHE LET THEM PET HER TOO!!! I was in complete shock, and VERY proud of her.

Okay, that was my little brag for the day--now I am off to bed!!

MESA sounds like fun! What kind of stuff do you do? That would be hard making a 3D model heart! Congratulations on getting first place, that's great!

Yay go Mandi! That is fantastic news, she sounds like a little social super star!
