Something strange...

As I mentioned in my other post (breeding forum) Hoofa's parents have had a second litter. I got a PM off the owner telling me "they are not crosses we just found out" (BTW I'm not in contact with these people anymore. Long story)

The dad...there's no question he's purebred. But the mum is either a cross (still a very large percentage staffie though) or just a poorly bred SBT.

They got the mum from this dodgy bloke that wouldn't let them see the rest of the litter, she was riddled with fleas and just seemed like a junkie.

Do you reckon she's just saying this so I don't tell the prospective buyers they're crosses, therefore doing them out of money?

Hmmmm....

Hmm, it could very well be that they don't want you telling anyone or I suppose there could be a chance that they did find out and it is the truth.

I'd be asking just how it is that they found out and can now be so positive. If they can back their new claim with proof positive info such as paperwork or something of that nature then fine otherwise I'm guessing they just want you to help them lie by staying quiet.

Yeah, I agree. They're just backyard breeders in for money. Ugggg. I'd be blabbing my mouth off in any way I could to discredit them.

Yup. I just don't see how they could have possibly found out. They've lied about other things (like the fact that their "cane corso" is actually cane x english mastiff, and that their purebred Cane, who my OH paid half for, was put to an E.M but somehow they were advertising Cane pups) ...pics of them in the link too. On another thread they were saying how the pup seemed big for her age.. because of the EM maybe!!

Very dodgy.

Egads! Didn't realize all that was going on as well! Heck yes, scream it from the rooftops! People like that are out for one thing and thats money.....god help the poor souls that the lure in.

Oh god it was a joke! Luckily nobody from the site she posted puppy pics on has seemed interested, and I'm living hundreds of miles away now.

The Cane gave birth outside at 4am for gods sake! Poor pup died...

Ok I PMd her, and the reply was "griffs colour is rare and they used to put them down like the white boxers..one breeder hasnt seen one for 10 years!!
so its not a cross colour at all."

Griff is Hoofa's brother who they kept. pics here, scroll down a bit

Interesting thing to say, considering his colour and that they were supposedly part Dobe.

I'm really lost for words what to write back!!
