This yorkie owner is lucky.
Some people just don't pay attention to their dogs especially if they are not confined in a fenced yard. Well the owners were out in the front yard busy doing something else while this little yorkie spotted me walking Casey and Chloe, she decided to follow me, i figured i would just let the owner grab her assuming they'd see her walk off the yard....nope, i walked half way up the street and turned the corner where you can't see the house anymore and the yorkie was still behinde me!. The owner is lucky im not one of those people that steal dogs ( i could have though, she was REALLY cute!), so i scooped the yorkie up and returned her home, all i got was a surprise look that her dog wandered off
LoL. Next time she might not be so lucky and someone else might actually take her. |

I still don't understand why people let there dog run loose when the dog in question has taken off before. When I was out walking Blackie and Rose the other day, a neighbor kid was out in his yard yelling for their Pug/Beagle mix puppy, Lulu.
This was of a concern for me because I was terrified that there was going to be a loose puppy to come running up to us and our dogs were going to see how she tasted for lunch. So I was scanning around trying to find a brown ball of fur to no avail. Hunter (the boy. He is my little bro's friend) starts walking ahead of me down the road, looking for Lulu. We walk a bit farther down the road, and here comes his dad in a car with Lulu happliy riding shotgun. Apparently she took off and while Hunter stayed at home to see if she was around, the dad took off in the car to go find her. I mean, she is a puppy for gosh sakes...not even six months old yet. Why would you let your dog run around off leash like in an open area, especially if it is an untrained puppy? |

Because they don't care enough to make sure they cannot escape. Mine don't even go out back to potty without me standing out there with them. I'm afraid of birds of pray. We also have raccoons, oposium and skunks that come into our fence yard. The skunk digs under the fences and the rest go over the fences. Scary when you have a 3 pound Chihuahua and two small Yorkies.
