New pics of Lucy
I finally figured out how to use my new camera and I am starting to figure out my new paint shop pro. I hope these don't come out too big, I had trouble resizing.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They were playing keep away with the ball. They kept stealing it from each other and running around the yard back and forth. Lucy is pretty quick and Bailey was really nice to her most of the time and let her take it, then she would chase her around a couple of times and then take it back out of her mouth. LOL. |

Oh Barrett, Lucy is adorable...such a baby face and so perky looking. I love that one where they're playing keep away, using the tree as a helpful prop. LOL. Very cute. It's so nice that Bailey is so nice to her. I love pictures. Thanks.

Thanks everyone...She is getting big isn't she? I think she might even be bigger than Bailey when she is done growing. She weighs almost 5 pounds and is only 3 1/2 months old! LOL I'm sort of glad she won't be super small since Bailey is much bigger than she should be. I want them to be close to the same size. It has been so much fun to have Lucy and I am lucky that they get along so well. I hope this continues when Lucy is older and I will get her fixed a little earlier (5 months?) to help ensure they don't develope dominance issues later.
I have been working on Lucy's obedience almost 5 times a day and they can now do commands together. They can both finish and heel together off leash (in the house) and it is soooo cute I almost faint with pride. Bailey takes the inside next to my leg and Lucy sticks close to Bailey even through the turns. *heart almost bursts* Lucy is such a little imp and talks back to me with each command and is so eager to get her treat, she just can't contain her joy. She can sit, down, stay (one minute), leave it (one minute) finish, heel, and turn right/left in a circle. I can get Bailey to turn left and Lucy to turn right at the same time. **sigh** I love my girls. |

I just wanted to do a little bragging without starting a new thread...
Lucy now has full run of the house! She doesn't have to stay in her playpen when I can't watch her and she can have her crate door open at night. I tested her 5 nights in a row and she did perfect. I can't believe how lucky I am because she has been a VERY easy puppy. I have had some hard pups to train before (black and tan coonhound was the worst!!!!) but I have never had a puppy be so laid back as Lucy. I almost feel guilty or bad because I don't have to watch her every second of the day...I can type away on the computer and she just sits in her bed and chews her rubber bone. Bailey has also calmed down since Lucy came home. I am sure some of you have heard me rant on how hyper little Bailey is all the time but now she pretty much plays on her own and with Lucy most of the day and I actually have to call her to initiate a game of fetch! W-O-W!!!!!!!!OK...bragging over, thanks for listening! LOL Barrett |

I love hearing your bragging stories, Barrett. They're stories of adopting a dog from a horrible situation and having it go EXCELLENT. I *love* success stories!
Keep 'em coming, and congrats on being able to let Lucy have free roam. Whoo hoo!! I really do love hearing how things are going with you and both doggies. Makes my day. ![]() |
