Exclamation Top 10 Favorite Purebreds - Top 10 Least Favorite Purebreds

Hello Global Paw Dog Forum Members Once Again! ^_~

Here you can share with us about your own personal top 10 favorite purebreds here and even top 10 of least favorite purebreds. I would love to hear your reasons why you picked them, although that part is optional. It would be interesting to see what everyone who posts has to say of there own personal taste. Do you think 10 is an reasonable number? I'll write my list Laters.

P.s. I don't like drooling dogs though. Anyone agree with this?

My favorite top 12 list is the breeds I want to own. They are certainly not in any paticular order....
1) Rottweiler
2) Pit bull
3) Bulldog
4) Bull Terrier
5) Dogo Argentino
6) Great Dane
7) Mastiff
8) Bull Mastiff
9) Old English bulldog
10) American Bulldog
11) Bassett Hound
12) All muts & mixes!

I couldnt just choose 10! (hehe) and the comment about drooling, I dont really prefer it, I would rather aviod it, but I guess it doesnt bother me that much.

Oh btw, Golden retrievers and Labradors, because i have one of each. And they are the most affectionate beautiful dogs. Chihuahuas as i am planning on getting one, have been looking into them, and they sound a cute, but (luckily) small doggy.
The others all simply because they are gorgeous (hehe)

Here is a list of my top 10 favourite breeds (in no particular order):
  1. Rhodesian Ridgeback
  2. Staffordshire Bull Terrier
  3. Greyhound
  4. Australian Koolie
  5. Fox Terrier (Smooth)
  6. Dalmatian
  7. Borzoi
  8. Chihuahua
  9. Pug
  10. Irish Wolfhound

I would have loved to list more, and I'm sure I've forgotten some of my top favourites, but it's a start!

I don't think there are any dogs that I particularly dislike, so I haven't created a 10 bottom list.

Puggles aren't purebred dogs. They are a mix of the Pug and Beagle... and therefore they are not 'extinct' for this reason (because Pugs and Beagles are still around, and there are plenty of people who are going to continue to breed these two dogs together to create 'Puggles', much to the dislike of many dog lovers).

my favorites, not in any particular order
sighthound breeds, they are the most elegant
greyhounds, whippets, italian greyhounds, ibizian, salukis, borzois
herding breeds, australian shepherds, collies, shelties, just because they are so smart, and I do like poodles, all sizes
what I don't like are the bad boy type, the pits, rotts, mastiffs any of those wet mouth droolers and any other dog that scares me.

I was tempted to cheat and list "Spitz Dogs" and save several of the 10 favorite spots but I won't. (tee hee!)

These dogs excite me just thinking about them:

Malamute
Siberian Husky
Shiba Inu
Akita Inu
Pomeranian
Poodles (all sizes so I'll cheat and reserve 2 spots)
GSD
Basenji
Cocker Spaniel
Chihuahua

I don't have any least favorite breeds. Just because they wouldn't be my first choice today, doesn't mean that I don't like them or would never want one in my life. 5 years ago, I never would have considered a Min Pin or a Poodle. Today I am a caretaker for, love, and wouldn't trade them for any other dogs.

I'm sure there are a lot of great dogs out there, but these are the ones that I would love to own someday:

Weimaraner (puppy on the way)
Beagle
Maltese
English Springer Spaniel (had one as a child)

Sorry, I can't think of 10.

A puggle is a baby Platypus.

Top ten favourites
1. Neapolitan Mastiff
2. Spanish Mastiff
3. Shar Pei
..now, in no particular order...
4. Chihuahua
5. Mastiff
6. Dogue de Bordeaux
7. Borzoi
8. Sloughi
9. Bull Terrier
10. Central Asian Shepherd

Least favourites are Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Maltese, Border Collies & Australian Shepherds.
However...although I am not a fan of the breeds, I do like the individual dogs. I'm not a hater...I just would never own any of those breeds. And heck...they aren't suited to me anyway.

Cass.
