From illness to chewin up socks

Last year, around easter time, our Lab mix got very ill. It started out with her hind legs dragging so we figured it was a back injury, and took her to the vet and they treated her as such. Well when she started to get worse, and her stomach became blochy with red we got very concerned. We took her back to the vet and the kept her over night to run tests, when we went back the next day her whole body had swelled (her poor little eyes could hardly be seen) she lost about half of her body weight. The vets gave her about a 15% chance to servive.
About a week later she made a break through when we went to see her she was able to stand up on her own. Later that week we got to bring her home. Ever since then she has slowly returned to her old self (minus the fact that when its cold out she has a slight limb). We are very proud of her progress through it all, I will try to up load a picture of when she was sick (she lost nearly all of her hair from swelling) but she looks health agian

That must have been so scary, the poor girl. I'm so glad she's recovered. Did they ever find out what it was?

Rocky mountain spotted fever. Its a tick born thing, since then she has been looked over for 15 mins after coming in, as well as having a flea/tick collar

Wow! I am sooo happy she is doing better! What a scarry thing to have to go through! Keep us posted on how she is doing.
