Talking HE HE! Boy Friend is sooo wrong!

Sorry, I just have to kinda brag. As you know I am fostering a Poodle named Hershey. Well, when I brought him home, I was very careful in introducing him to DaKota & Glitzie. My (know-it-all-in dogs)Boy Friend says, Well you have 2 of the smartest breeds in the house. There are going to be alot of squabbles between the Shepherd
& Poodle. The Poodle will lose. So Watch DaKota carefully. He was so very serious. Well, I placed DaKota in her outside kennel & tied Hershey to it for about an hour. I stayed a distance away & watched carefully. When I saw they were both very calm I took Hershey in the kennel with me. I stayed in the kennel for a half an hour & they were fine. So much for my Boy Friend knowing about dog behavior! LOL He has been here for about a week & a half & 2 squabbles. Very small ones. Once, Hershey was about to go into my room & Dakota knows it is off limits to him. She looked at me & gently put her mouth around his neck(like a puppy). He did not like it & ran to his crate & she to her bed. The other time was with Glitzie. My daugher was sitting on the couch, him on the arm. Glitzie came to the opposite side to cuddle as usual. Hershey just growled & bared teeth. My daughter put him on the floor with a firm no. I put him in his crate. No more squabbles. We may have a home for him too.
My Grandmother is in a nursing home in Maine. My Mom would really like to see him go there. She is going to ask. My Mom really likes his gentle temperment & likes how he loves people. She said she would love to have him, but Rusty is a big brat when it comes to dogs not of his family like DaKota & Glitzie. And my Dad has a phobia of all Poodles & really dislikes them. Hershey is learning about play. Each night My daughter & I take about 10 minutes on the floor with him.
He will nibble on a toy if you have it, but still doesn't know what to do when you throw is.
