Blackie
You'll never guess this one....we named him that because, well, he's black! lol When we picked him up he was riding, quite silently I might add, in a crate in the "trunk" portion of our van, and we were all discussion, quite loudly, what we wanted to call him. It came as a toss up for Shadow and Blackie. My mom had a little dog named Blackie when she was growing up, so she convinced my brother and I to name him Blackie.

Brownie
You'll never guess this one either. She was brown. LOL She responded to it very well, too. Come to find out later, her real name was Shelby, but she was SO not a "Shelby" type dog, so we kept the name I gave her.

Rose
Rose was one of two puppies in the litter that had brindle markings, and she looked the most like Brownie. When Brownie died, I picked out the name "Rose" for Rose because Brownie would always climb up onto our porch through our rose bush. And, besides that, come to find out later, it fits the "color" theme we have going on with our dogs. lol

Sadie
The name just came to me. As soon as my mom told me that we were going to be raising a female black lab pup, the name "Sadie" justu popped into my head. And when the lady brought her out and plopped her on my lap, I knew the name was a 100% match. (And if you haven't noticed by now, I also like names ending in "ie". lol)

Rush
My dad said that the only way we could keep two kittens was if he was able to name one. So Rush is named after Rush Limbal(sp?). The other kitten I picked out and named Frosty. He was the only white kitten in the litter. But even though he was raised inside, he was a barn cat through and through (he woudln't except handling, was CRAZY) so we gave him to a relative who lives on a farm. He then died a couple of years later of unknown causes. We think he was poisened.

Casey Nukpana
I was searching through name websites and came across Casey. I like how it sounds, and it means "viligant in war." Suits Casey perfectly. lol Nikpana is some type of Native American language for "evil". Totally opposite of Casey. lol I should have named her something that means, "witty" or "intelligent". lol

Dameon Micheal
I was trying to think of a name that went well with Casey. My mom mentioned Dameon, and since that is one of my favorite names, it stuck. Come to find out, Dameon is my little "devil child". lol The Micheal is just because it sounds good with Dameon.

Lucy Fir
My sister named her. I didn't want to name her that, but it stuck and I couldn't think of anything better to change it to. If Lucy was a boy, I was going to name her Lucifer, so her name is now Lucy Fir!

Loupie
I have NO idea why my neighbors named her that. lol I don't even no if they spelled it like that, or if they spelled it Loopy. IDK. But before my brother and I knew her name, we either called her Licky (she was a liking machine man!) or Elvis, because when she walked through our bean feild, all that we saw was her curled tail above the beans and it looked like a white version of Elvis' hairdo!

Talking

Fallon is named after my favorite member of the band called Kitty. She left the band so I name my dog after her.

Talena was named that cause the next member of Kitty that I liked that left was named so.

Lucky was named at the vets office. We were talking about how lucky he was that I found him so I named him accordingly.

Jake was given his name by my grandad, we couldnt decide on what to call him and when he suggested Jake, it just clicked.

Bennie - nothing special, just because its a sweet name which suits him.

And my old dog Tommy was named after the white Power Ranger named tommy lol, i was young at the time and my brother loved the power rangers show on tv, so we decided on that.

Baby no idea, brother named her... but it fits because she is ITTY BITTY still at age 16.

Rascal he got into EVERYTHING and was a "little rascal" so the name stuck

Rasza I had just watched Aladdin (I think) and Jasmine's 'think' was named Raijah (or however you spell it) so I named him that with a spelling I could remember

Buzz he was either gonna be cole, domino, or buzz; we decided to call him Buzz and put Domino in his registered name

Bailey I just loved it and thought of the name WAY before I even MET her! Glad it fit!

This is easy. Kenya was named after a country in Africa.

TommyJake - wasn't Tommy the green power ranger? (Hey, I'm a 90's kid, the Power Rangers were awsome, and Tommy was my favorite. lol Ya, I'm a nerd, get over it.)

And yep, Springer, Jasmine had a tiger named Rasha (or however you spell it). Very pretty name.

Maggie May is named after the Rod Stewart song "Maggie May" . I was raised on his music and that was always one of my all time favorite songs of his. Her name from the puppy mill they told the rescue was Tootsie and I hated that name. So I figured new life new name .

Dozer was simply named this because we knew he would be huge. Also when we was a puppy he had an obsession with eating rocks . Lol its just fit .

Tucker was named after the two books "The Trouble with Tuck" and "Tuck Everlasting".

Angel - Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of our favorite shows at the time and Angel was one of my favorite characters so that's how she got her name. Her registered name is "WEHKAH's Ghost of the Dark" Only cause Darkness wouldn't fit. Since weims are noted to be "Gray Ghosts" it fit.

Tweeder - The poor pup was nameless for like a week cause we couldn't decide on a name for him. Then I was in the back yard with the kids and Varsity Blues was the popular movie at the time and then I just said "Hey how about Tweeder??" He shrugged and said not bad but we have to spell it with a "d" not a "t". And it was done! And in turn we had to pick an equally fittng registered name for him "WEHKAH's Run for Glory", since he had a name associated with football.

Zoe - She already came with that name when we got her but it was actually Zoey but we shortened it to Zoe. I liked that one better. If we ever get her AKC papers or her ILP papers I'm not sure what I'd give her as a registered name yet.

Kitty aka Kitchen - My husband likes to call her Kitchen... cause that's what was labeled on the box when we got her. I didn't like that much and wasn't really creative so Kitty was it for me. And besides it's a name I knew she'd probably answer to already.

Hey! We call Blitz "Boo-Boo" sometimes. My 2 1/2 year old morphed this into "Boo-Boy". So to him, Blitz and Blaze are Boo-Boy and Puppy-O LOL. He's a strange, cool little dude

Duchess - Her ILP name is Winjammin's Duchess of Hoover. She was named Duchess since the Queen of England has had Corgis for over 50 years, mostly Pems. And she rules the house, so it fits in more than one way. the "of Hoover" part fits equally well, as she cleans the floors and honors the "1 second rule" (no 5 second rule in our house! LOL) like a Hoover vacuum!

Ruby - Her name is Pynewood's Aruba Tuesday, so Aruba was shortened to Ruby, and from there it went to Ruby-Doo.

Phantom - Camelot's Midnite Masquerade was the name his breeder came up with. From there, with the white blaze on his right ear that was shaped like the mask in Phantom of the Opera, it was a natural progression. He is also called Boo or Boo-Boo

Dream - We named her Camelot's Ocean Dream after the Blue Ocean Dream Diamond, due to her unusual coloring. Sherilyn avidly watches Grey's Anatomy, so calling her McDreamy was a must.
