Angry Never going to eat fast food again

Yesterday morning we went to pick up breakfast at a fast food place. I went to eat the sandwich when we came home. I put ketchup on it and took a few bites. Then looked at it. There was an elastic in the sandwich. So gross! I didn't eat it good thing. I tried to call the restaurant, no answer. So I went back to the restaurant. The lady said she was sorry. She wanted to give me another sandwich I told her no thanks. She then gave me my money back. She looked at me like I was nuts. She said they don't use elastics on anything. I told her well I sure didn't put it there. The elastic was dirty. I took a picture of it to send to head office. I'm going to call the head office on Monday. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I may never be able to eat fast food again.

Oh, disgusting! I would have been so ticked off.

Luckly, that has never happened to me before. The only thing that the fast food industry has done to us was messed up our order. Then we just yell at the manager and we end up getting free food.

Ugh. That would be so gross. I'm glad you are complaining about it.

That is disgusting!!! You did the right thing by complaining. I know I'd be plenty hot if that had happened to me.

Of course, you know contamination is not limited to fast food. Worse things happen in the fanciest of restaurants which have even fewer regulations, inspections and audits.

As long as there is a human component in food handling, these things will occur. I hate the reality of it, pray over my food, and try not to worry.

If everyone knew exactly what goes on in most resturants kitchens, you would NEVER eat out again.

My mom once had a piece of GLASS in her Hamburger from a fast food resturant. She ended up having to get her tooth removed because she bit into the glass before she noticed it!!!

You just don't know what happens in fast food places or what is accidentaly put into their food! So gross. Sorry you had to have that happen to you, how disgusting.

I had an elastic band in a can of Ravioli once. There is no telling what people are putting in our food when we go out to eat. If my steak comes to me wrongly cooked I never ask them get it right. Yuck, just the thought of it makes me want to become a vegetarian and grow my own food.

Oh no, I'm sorry that this happened to you! Finding foreign stuff in my food is one of my worst nightmares! What I usually find in my food is caterpillars! I went though a period when I found a caterpillar on my food about 3 times in two weeks... oh well, at least I know the food I was eating was fresh! Apart from that, the only thing I've found in my food was a hair... so gross. I'm very picky about where I get my food from. I don't like fast food and places that look suspiciously dirty.

Good on you for complaining!
