through AAA it was going to be 65 each way for trixie from philly to jacksonville, fl. i'd call the airline and ask them, they'd know for sure. but i think it depends on the size of the dog and what not.

i'm curious an what you find out from the airline, what airline are you using?....let me know how you make out and how the whole flying unattended thing works. Just so I can see if that'd be an option w/ trixie for my big move in a few months.

Usually shipping a Puppy is like $145 or in that area for Delta/ Sky West. We know a few who have shipped a puppy and they did fine. If a person in shipping a puppy to you, then I would think $250 as it would pay for the shipping carrier, air fair and health certificate needed, this is what I see on allot of breeder websites. I think contacting the air port that the puppy will be shipped to in OK, would be best. They can give you an rate and they do go by the puppies weight + carrier weight. So make sure you have an estimation of the Pups weight when you call. Since I am in Idaho, I know the only 2 Air ports here that Ship live animals, is in Boise and Spokane, WA. So either of the two. It depends on where the person who is shipping the puppy to you, lives. Like I said, Delta / Sky West have no complaints from thoughs we know, who have had puppies shipped to them. They are who we are going to use when our puppy is shipped to us.

hi
i checked the delta website,thanks.
, i am just not sure how to get the rate, i think they have a base pay and then you have to add on some stuff, but i wasn't sure per pound or what, she is about 47Lb. that is what i was told, but you have to add the kennel.
alltogether we had estimated 288 but that sounds about right with your estimate!
Thank you

think she will fly out of Spokane, since they are north in idaho.

No problem..Yeah, I think $288 would be around the right est. if it includes air kennel, ticket, and vet cert.

well she is coming, but it will be a little more expencive, because we have to fly her VIP otherwise she would be sitting in different airports, we don't want that.
It is not a rescue, but a dog that needs a home fast, she got offered to me, and she looks nice and we will se what comes of her.
she can't fly with delta, or she has to fly to a airport futher away, which would be more time consuming and gasmoney again, so it pretty much evens out, this way!
i thank you all for that information, let's hope that dog gets here nicely!
I will get you some pics when she arrives, probably thursday!

sorry, should have wrote it by now, but i am running arround all the time.
Ok here is how it started:

sunday, while i was out mowing the lawn a customr of mine called if i would be interested in a female Malinois , it would be the sister of her dog.
She told me the whole story, basically it is a green dog, was sold as a pup from a breeder and trainer to a family, but the wife came down with a health issue so they couldn't keep the dogs, they had two littermates. so they gave them back to the breeder and trainer, it must have happened pretty sudden, because the breeder needed a good home fast, he just got dogs in and has not really room, but more no time for a you8ng female. so he was calling arround to see if someone would take her!
So yeah, My freind thought of me, and hey they found the sucker who will take her.
They were looking for a good home, but preferably a working home...
so we will see what comes of that, what she is able to do.
If all goes right, she should be here thursday!
