how to ship and pay
hello,
This is random but i didnt know who to ask. I am trying to sell this flute I have. (we are moving and any items i dont need or dont use im trying to sell) So if i sell to someone out of state or so how should i go about selling and shipping it without being scammed! I heard that paypal is pretty reliable but i do not know how it works. Does anyone have any advice or info? thanks in advance |

Check Ebay's policies on buyers who bid and then don't pay. The way to ensure the buyers don't claim the flute never got to them after they paid is to mail it using registered (? I think it's called) mail, where someone has to sign for it when it's delivered. You can look up prices for that at usps.com. Or you can require that they purchase insurance so they're reimbursed if the item doesn't come and you're not the one reimbursing them (I think that's how it works
). Is that what you're asking? |

oh ..well i put up an ad in the paper and then online at a music store site. I got one person interested but he is out of state so I dont know how to work that out. I would much rather sell it locally so i can meet the buyer...but its a flute. Not many people dying for flutes...hehehe!
Having them pay insurance makes alot of sense. I never would have thought of that.... Should I try ebay then...is that more safe? thank so much for the helpful info. |

No you can ship it to him and have him pay insurance and for it to go registered mail, as far as I know. I would contact your local post office or UPS type store and ask them what they offer to ensure it gets there or they reimburse the buyer if it doesn't.
