Every one, meet Bella.. *picture heavy*
Well you guy, I can't keep this to my self any longer. I'm just bursting with excitement and so far, the questions I've answered have had me just wanted to tell every one. So far, we've only told my moms closest friend, as she knows what we are trying to do and understands. Pretty much every one else we know just thinks of dogs as "just a dog". Soooo, I decided to let you all in on our little secret, a beautiful little secret at that lol. The short version of the story : We've been looking around for a breeder, planning to add our foundation bitch later this year, possible next year. We know we wanted to wait until Daisy turned 1yr, so we could get her and Beau's eye's cleared in Spokane at the same time, to save time and gas money. Anyhoo, we've been looking around and have filled out many Applications, one breeder in Arizona we befriended and she offered to help us with any questions and future choices we will face, she also offered us a puppy in the future, so we know we have some trust already building. We have not been looking nor waiting for 1 year like Daisy, as we already built up a contact list. We've been looking for a good 5 months, ever since we decided on what we're looking for, which is to bring in completely different lines. We found that, and a linage we not only know about, but also like. Well, I sent the deposit out last Friday on this little angel ! She and hopefully Daisy, will be our foundation to building a great breeding program. Daisy will not start showing until next year. Mom is going after her CGC and CD title first, my plan with Beau as well. They start hopefully this June. I've got a contact with the WYCA and she'll let me know when classes start for OB. We also want to try for a JH, but are really getting nowhere with training. So that may wait untill we can build up some extra cash. Anyhoo, every one meet our future addition, ReaderN LaBrooks Royal BluBell "Bella",she is 3-1/2 weeks old, and will be coming to us the 3rd week of June all the way from PA. Allot sooner then we expected, but there is something about this litter that we love. Below are a few pics of Bella, her Sire and Dam, her sire's parents and her dams mother. I still have to contact her dams sire's owners to get a picture of him. But you can look him up, just type in Ch. Lor-Al's Got Our Power Play,CD MH and you'll find him. I've looked up a few great aunts/uncles - great, great, great grand parents, even got a picture of one of Master's litter sisters who is also doing well in the show ring.

Thank you ! We can't ! They send pictures about every 2-3 days and it is pure torture ! She turns 8 weeks the 2nd week of June but won't be able to get shipped until the 3rd week b/c of our schedule, which adds a week to our waiting . But she is well worth the wait !
Shandoggy, Bella is of English type, but is not an "English Lab". That term only applies to Labs born in England. But yes, she is a little chunky, but that's OK at this age for Labs. She is nice and sturdy. She comes from some nice producing Labs- great linage. Some are a bit over done I agree, but a few is better then all. Master is just gorgeous ! He has great conformation, nice angles, great head, truly outstanding coat - just put together very nicely. Angel is very nice as well, she has great rear angels, nice topline, and coat. I've seen lines that produce short, overly massive Labs that really can't do much in the field, they are just to short , thick and blocky. That I think is out of standard because a Lab is suppose to not only have proper conformation, but also Ability to perform in the field and a shooting dog. Vis-versa - as it also applies to *some* purely field bred Labs. I will say that some breeders are just going the distance and producing Labs , that in the same litter, get 2 Bench Ch. and 3 Field Ch. or Field titled dogs- some even have a Sh. Ch. and an MH / JH. Which is very nice to see on Labs. Bella's grand sire is one of the few who not only is a Sh. Ch. but also had a CD and MH. JH is common, where MH is not ; I believe their are only 36 Labs to-date . Both of his parents are also Sh. Ch. and have a JH. His dam also has a CGC and CDX. I, along with Bella's breeders, are very excited about this litter and We are all very excited about Bella joining our family. I'll keep every one updated and I will be posting more picture !!! |
