your daily dog schedule

I was sitting here reading some posts, and I though to myself..."I'd love to know how some of you manage so many dogs" I'd love to have more, but I don't think I could find the time...so, I'd like to see what everyone's day is like. Even those of you with just one baby! But especially those with several puppers....i'm VERY interested because I'm considering fostering, but need some solid info since I live with the folks....

Here's mine (not to difficult)

5:30-6:00 am - wake up and quick potty for both
6:15 - Feed
6:45-7:30 - off lead walk through fields followed by some fetch and Obedience work
7:30 - 8:00 - do my own work out
8:00 - shower
8:20 - let the girls out for free play
8:45 - me and trixie go to work (shelby stays home)
up till 11:30 - several short walks with Trixie
11:30 - lunch time for both of us
until 5 - a few more short walks and a visit to the bank and post office near by during free time...trixie loves going to these places because they bought cookies just for her she's their special puppy
5:30-6 leashed walk up the dirt road with everyone...precious the cat usually tag along
6:15 dinner for everyone!
after dinner Tues, thur-sunday - either go to town to walk on leash, go swimming, or play fetch/games outside until dark
mondays we have puppy play 7-8 an hour away
Wed - obedience 6-7 an hour away from home (the get a late dinner wed nights)
dark-11:00 pm - chew toys, practice obedience, lounging, etc...and usually get a raw bone to chew at once or twice a week... stuffed kongs the rest of the nights...I usually go on the tread mill a while, or have my mom watch the girls while I go swimming from 6-7
11:00 - trixie is crated for bed, shelby usually sleeps in front of the sliding glass door to make sure the porch doesn't go anywhere
I march upstairs and watch some TV and curl up with poe kitty and go to sleep

that's my day, and it seems busy to me...i can't imagine some of your days...that's dedication!

When I worked full time, toby got a quick walk in the AM...I would work for 8 hours...then come home...have a quick meal and we would go for a 3 hour walk.

Once I started walking dogs professionally, Toby got an hour in the AM..an hour and a half in the afternoon...and then a 7km walk at about 9pm.

I never missed a day!

When I do it (meaning, I'm not at college, hah) I get up between 8 and 8:30, take them out for a quick potty. Then I kinda wake up, move around a bit, get them some water. Depending on the day I'll either feed them then or walk them. Whatever I didn't just do before, is done next. They're crated if I'm gone, otherwise we hang out around the house, going for fun walks, doing some training, playing games. They'll get another long walk in the PM around 7 and dinner either before or after, depending on the day.

It's not too complicated, but it is more complicated because now I have to function enough to use leashes in the AM instead of standing outside when we lived at the farm and had a fence.

4 dogs here, and a very flexible schedule. Whenever I get up all the dogs go outside and go potty, then they come in and I feed them breakfast (food bowls that are spread apart is the trick!). After breakfast they either stay inside and play for a little while or go right back outside to go potty if they haven't already. If I have class I run out the door after that, if I have work I run out the door a little later. Missie usually starts demanding dinner around 3:30 or 4, so that's what time they get dinner. And then Friday, Sat. I try to sleep in later and then get up. If it cools down enough in the evening and I'm not bogged down with schoolwork we go on a walk in two shifts--all the little dogs and then I come back and take just Aysa (unless my sister's home and willing to go, then she goes and we take all the dogs). Most of my classes are online so I take breaks to play with the dogs or go outside with them and clean up the backyard. I am blessed to have a very flexible schedule!

Ahh youth and the 6 hours of sleep per night. I used to do that but now I get cranky after a week of shorted sleep.

They used to go to day care when I went into the office but now I work from home on mostly back-to-back conference calls. They are always with me and here is their normal routine:

5:30 - 6:30 - potty and treats upon return
9:30 - potty, play, and small meal
1:30 - potty, play, and treat upon return
5:30 - potty, Dinner
6:30 - Play/walk/fetch (work is done but I have my "blackberry-like" device)
9:30 - potty, bedtime treats, "Nite-nite to the Bitey-bites"
10:30 - everyone should be almost asleep.

7:00- i get up and shower and get ready for school
7:15- niko and max go to the back yard (well now it is a walk since the neighbor)
7:30-they both eat
8:00-3:00- i am in school and my parents take care of the dogs walks and everything

3:30 take the dogs out to the park and let them run around on long leads for about a half an hour

than the res of the time is dinner and playing and walks and then we all sit down in the living room and the dogs watch tv with us lol

some people ask me how i do it all since i also have birds and of course they get alot of time out of the cage and that is usually when the dogs are either in their crate or outside

in my spare time i do updates to my myspaces (yes i have 4 of them but all for different things)
