Just a little update -- haven't been as active.
Well, seeing that I haven't been as active the past week, I thought I'd give an update on the pooches (and the rest of my 'zoo' lol).
Everyone is doing well. I took Sheiba to work last weekend and had her 'groomed'. Not an actual grooming place, but we have a much nicer shower, shampoo and driers. She looks and feels like a completely different dog. Those high-powered blow driers really get out that undercoat. lol There was so much hair under there that a brush wouldn't get. Lugar has been a little on the "testy" side. Not listening very well. I had been taking him with my on car rides, paying lots of attention to him and then one night he decided his manners were going to be off for the night. I slapped a leash on him and we worked on some training. Thankfully he loves his food, so I was able to use his meal as his treats. He's responding much better to commands. I can now just point my finger to the ground and he lays down. So, he just needed a bit of a refresher, which we will continue for a good while, especially while my family is here. I have finally "signed out" of high school Senior sign-outs were yesterday and today. I got it all done yesterday. So, I'm officially out. I'm curious to see what it's like not being in school, or staying home and not wondering what I'm missing in my classes lol. My graduation is on Thursday, May 24 @ 8am. I have to be there at 6:45am. Which means I have to get up at like 5am. Eeesshh... lol But I'm having a nice BBQ at the beach afterwards, particuarly for the people who couldn't come to my actual graduation. The BF is out of town for a few days. He's at a hockey tournament up in Boston, and he's hoping to get good reviews from the scouts up there. If not, he's got another tourny he's going to in June that have all scouts, and they get written evaluations from NHL scouts. So, I've been pretty busy lately, and I haven't been able to hop on GP as much as I usually do. It will probably continue to be that way for a while yet, until graduation is settled, and I'll be working some more. The rest of the furry crew is going in to get bathed on Saturday morning before my grandma and aunt come in that afternoon. No stinky, smelly dogs. LOL Although the huskies don't ever stink, but Kelso and Lugar can get pretty 'wrank' Hahaha. But I thought I'd update. OH, and Joe-Joe (the chihuahua) is doing EXCELLENT in his new home. The lady updates me on him and sent me pictures. You can tell by his photos how much happier he is being the only dog. He knows how to use the doggy door, knows the words "treat & crate", and was neutered last week The big snip! Hahaha But she cannot thank me enough. She said he gives her so much happiness and love. She doesn't know how to repay it to him. She said everywhere she is, Joe-Joe follows. He also accepts her husband no problem. I'll post his photos in the pictures section right after this.I've also got a couple videos to post of the dogs I took a while ago. Spike, Tiki and Kia are all doing well. Kia and Spike are battling some diarrhea right now. I can't figure out why Spike keeps getting these instances, but I can't get him into the vet until next month. He's eating and drinking fine, energy level is the same. Any signs of illness though he'll go to a different vet if they still cannot get me in. Well, that's all. Sorry for the long book. LOL Just thought I'd update. |

Hehe, yeah I got out already. Our school allows us to get out 2 weeks earlier than the rest
linnie: LOL I really was ready to get out. I don't know, unlike many people, I just didn't particularly care for school. They are all too worried about policing than about teaching kids. I know there has to be some, but there are times where they go overboard (hole in your jeans = detention). So, I'm pretty happy to be out But I look forward to do doing the dog training! Since I can work more hours, that will be my very first goal is to save up for that. |

First of all, congratulations for finishing school, I bet you feel fantastic having the 'freedom' now!
I remember when I finished school 2 1/2 years ago I was SO excited to finally be out of there. Thanks for the update, it's great to hear how well everything is going. I'm so happy to hear how well Joe-Joe has adjusted to his new family. |

Sounds like everything is busy, but going well!
Congrats on graduating. My older bro is graudating this year as well, on the 24th. My mom is about ready to go bonkers because she is worried about the open house. lol |

Holy cow! The schooling must be different in NY. We don't start until August 15th, and we get out June 1st.
