***Update***

Well...I'll be moving to Jacksonville within the next couple weeks!!

I've had a couple job offers there (3 just today!!!), plus nothing seems to be panning out in G-ville, so off to the big city I go!! I've lived in anything remotely close to a city in my entire life, so this will be interesting. I've been looking at places within walking distance of the beach, they aren't as nice as inland, and the area isn't the best, but it's cheaper and I'll be able to take trixie to the beach everyday which is AWESOME! The jobs I've been offered aren't super high paying, but I don't need much and I have a little nest egg I've been building, so I'll be fine financially. I am very nervous though!!! And super excited. SOO...here I go again on my own!!! hehehehe sorry for the sappy lyrics!

Wow 3 job offers, nicely done. :clapping: I'm sure you'll find a fantastic place and enjoy your new home.
Oh and since you've now mentioned the beach we'll need to see "Trixie at the beach" pictures.

Sounds like things are falling into place nicely.

Can't wait to see Trixie on the beach pics. I know I really missed having the beach to walk the dogs on when we came home from vacation. They got so much more exercise because the weather was always cool on the beach!

yeah, im so excited, and I know trixie will love it. the one place I'm really interested in is about 3 blocks from the beach, its only 520 sq ft. but I don't need much space since trixie will be worn out from the beach most of the time

i just have to talk about the area with some friends that already live in jax and make sure it's a safe area.

I was really starting to get frustrated, like i wasn't worthy of being hired and silly things like that. but then i started getting phonecalls like crazy!!! AND I have an interview tomorrow at this medical center right along the river!!! i'd LOVE to work right along the river, st. johns is gorgeous!!! i cannot wait!! I'm going to scope out some apartments this weekend and try to have a decision made ASAP. and to think....just over a month ago i was living in the middle of nowhere, and now i'm moving to one of the largest cities in florida!!! life is funny sometimes

Icey...i LOVE it here!!! people are more laid back, the weather is much nicer than PA, and the best part is that I can totally start a new life the way I want to without the whole town questioning my actions. I can finally be the person I've always wanted to be. It's like all the things in my past are just that...not things that everyone will judge me on and remember me for. i feel so much freer. AND no matter where you are, you are capable of taking a trip to the beach and don't have to make a whole weekend vacation out of it

I lived in Jacksonville for over a year (Mayport Beach). I love an adventure and I know your going to be just fine. Keep us all up on everything too.

trixie seems to be very adaptable. she adusted to my brother's place in about 2 days. she knew her boundaries and was cozy. so I think she'll be fine. especially if we're close to the beach. there's also a couple great on leash parks in jax and some off leash ones that i most likely won't go to.

I WISH shelby was my dog too! shelby is my parent's dog, and I miss her

trixie and i lived with them for about 3 months before i moved down here, so trixie misses her a lot too. and now she'll be missing my brother's dog roscoe because we've been living with him for a month and a half.

Its good that trixie will probably adjust well with the move. When we first got maggie, it took her a good week just to come out of the kitchen and into the living room
