Lightbulb Chloe's a mom!
That got your attention didn't it?

But yes, Chloe is a mom....to our little seven week old kitten, that is.

On a whim this morning, I let the two meet. I wasn't sure how Chloe would react, nor was I sure how Pheobe would react. I shouldn't have been so worried.

Chloe LOVES her. The kitten isn't so smitten, but she'll get over it. Chloe follows a step behind Pheobe where ever she goes. If Chloe can catch her, she'll start to lick her.

While I was watching a movie on TV, Chloe came down and laid by my feet. Pheobe crawled out from underneath the sofa and nuzzled up right next to Chloe and tried to nurse. Chloe's still a puppy (and is hopefully going to be spayed next week) so that didn't quite work out. While Pheobe was attempting to nurse, Chloe soaked her with puppy kisses. Pheobe soon got tired of that and with a swat of a paw, ran and hid again.

Right now Pheobe is playing with a string off of a rocking chair and Chloe is laying a couple feet away, just watching.

Whenever Pheobe runs away from Chloe, Chloe will give me a look like, "Why is she running, mom? I'm trying to be nice!"

Now to convince Chloe that she has big paws and needs to be careful so she doesn't squish the kitten...

Nope, no pics or a video yet. My sis' digital camera broke, so right now the only camera we have is my mom's professional film one. We have a video camera as well, but I don't know if you can download movies off of it on to the computer.

I'll try to find something that I can show you guys, but it may be a while.

But yes, they are soooo cute! I was just surprised that Chloe took to Pheobe so well, because Chloe has a big preydrive and stalks rabbits, squirells, butterflies, flies, and any other small quick moving creature. It took a while to get her to ignore my Teil, but now she'll just glance at him when he is making a racket and go on about her business.
