I'm off for Seattle again for about a week to visit my kids. So, I won't be here to stir up any trouble.

When I come back, it will be just about time for me to start on my new adventure as a karaoke DJ...just bought the equipment and will be starting a gig at a local lounge. I'm quite excited about this. Music is such a big part of my life that I just had to do something fun with it. And I think this should be fun as most everyone around here I know. It will be like having a party. I just put together all my music into books and I have a good selection to get going.

So, I"ll be shoving off on Thursday....will be here still tomorrow, but busy getting packed etc....will try to check in though a little bit. You all have a great week while I'm gone. Be safe and may your dogs be safe too!

Wow! Your new gig sounds like a ton of fun!

If your lucky and the weather reports are correct you should see a lot of sun while you are here. But then again don't count on it! LOL One thing I have learned since I got here is that the weather can and does change on the flip of a dime. Have a safe trip to my neck of the woods!

The karoke business is so much great fun, isn't it?! Friends of mine did that for years at a local bar every Friday night. It was the best. I bet you'll love it and people will love you for providing the entertainment! LOL Good luck!

Sunny, I didn't know you were in Seattle. Cool. Where about do you live? My daugher lives on Alki and I like it there. That is a nice part of Seattle. I grew up in Bellevue, then lived in Everett when I was first married for about 16 years, then we moved to Snohomish for about 10. We moved from N.J. to Seattle in 62 and I've only lived in Idaho coming on 4 years. My folks now live on Bainbridge Is, as does my sister and aunt. I spent a good deal of my childhood there as my grandma lived there too. Have you ever been to Bainbridge Is.?

Anyhow, I'll be glad to get into some milder weather for a change. It's cold here the last few days...about 10 degrees in the mornings. Brrrrrr.

Hi Carrie,
I actually live in Mt Vernon, about an hour north of Seattle but my BF lives in West Seattle and we both love Alki. It is only about a 5 minute drive from his house. I have only been here a year, born and raised in CA. It just got waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy to expensive to live there so I moved up here with my brother.

It has been pretty cold here at night but not as cold as you, I think the low was somewhere in the high 20's and then today it is suppose to be up to 50. It has been really nice and sunny here but a little on the cool side.

Have a great trip and fill us in when you get back.

Oh, Sunny....Mt Vernon. Well, I went to school at WWSU in Bellingham. I love that northern area too, so pretty and farmy. So you have quite a drive to go see your bf. Yeah, my daugther lives 1/2 block from Alki. Maybe I'll see you down there if you're visiting your boyfriend. If you are, I'll be down along the beach walking my black Doberman several times a day. I doubt I'll have my other dogs with me....ex-hubby will look after them for me. (part of the divorce settlement. just kidding. lol)

Awwww I want to go tooo! We should have a meet up in Alki. I'm off work on Sunday and Tuesday. I have puppy class on Sunday morning at ten but I could come after that!!! Whacha guys think about that? I would need some directions though since I live 45 minutes south of you guys off of hwy167.
