Aaaaaaauuuuuuuuggghhh!!!!!
Just when I think my life is a mess, it get's even messier. A neighbor just asked me to take in a puppy!!! And I, with my soft spot for cute homeless pups, take the puppy in!! In a small apartment with a baby, two Boston Terriers, and who knows what else!!!! Just when I found the love of my life, Lazy, a new home due to me not being able to give her what she needs, another large puppy comes in!!! And he SCREAMS bloody murder when in a kennel!!
But he's oh-so-cute...... |

You sure are one in a million. (sucker) LOL. Just joshin'. That is really sweet of you to do that. What kind of dog is he and how old do you think he is? Do you have any ideas for a home for him? What if you get too attached? LOL. I better not ask that question. Anyway, keep us updated. You really are good to do that.

I have NOOO clue what this dog is.... He's got me confused. I usually can make a guess at a dog's breed mix, but he's so Heinz 57. Bitty is in love with him, but Tasmo has gone in his kennel and won't come out.
I'll post a pic of him later and see what you guys think. |

When he looks at me just right, I would almost say he's a short-haired collie - oh what's it called.... Smooth Coated Collie? Is that it? Either way, he's really cute and it makes me cringe that he follows me around like I'm his new mom because I'm really afraid to fall in love AGAIN. But, I'm almost positive he has a caring owner out there somewhere (the neighbor who gave him to me said he was scratching at her door in the middle of the night last night like he knew what a door was) because he is in very good condition. The neighbor said that's how he looked when he got to her last night. He is very clean, and well-taken care of. But, this is a military city, and I have seen SOOO many perfectly wonderful pets get dumped or taken to the pound because the owners have to relocate or deploy overseas. Also, many of the soldiers just left for a year in Kuwait and Iraq (including my husband) so this puppy may be the result of a family who just can't take care of him anymore. Augusta seems to have an overflow of homeless military animals which really is very depressing to see. I help with Happy Tails Rescue (in SuperPetz on weekends) and there are many animals that their owners couldn't take with them to other states or overseas.
 Or maybe I'm just putting waaaaaaay too much thought in this and his owner is looking for him or he found his new owner (can't take in tooo many more). Oh and Bitty is SOOO in love with him. They are both curled up at my feet together. Poor little Tasmo is still hiding in his kennel. He looks at me like "NOT another one!" Sorry for the ramble.  |

Okay so this morning I just put down a whole bunch of stinkin' food for the dogs cuz I'm so tired from dealing with New Puppy all night that I just don't care. They can eat until they burst. I trudge around picking things up that New Puppy has pulled out and torn while I did get a few precious hours of sleep (tried crating him, but screams like devil, waking my son up so I just gave up for another day if he stays). In my trudging I happen to look over at the food area and this is what I saw! I've never seen a big pup so intent on eating he lays down into the bowl!!

Yeah he seems pretty dominant, until he's playing with Bitty. She thinks she is the ruler of the household besides me. He is totally whupped by her.
Bleh he is completely NOT housetrained, but is already very well socialized. I just wonder where he came from. He has NOOOO fear of anything (except Bitty's wrath). If he stays longer than a couple more days he's gonna have to go in a crate, crying or no. |
