Home Invaders!
Had to share this with everyone; when I first got the phone call I thought it was a joke but sure enough it was true and I laughed so hard I nearly split my pants. lol
A good friend of mine ( Connie ) has two of my bullies, one she purchased as a pup named Sophie ( now 3 years old ) and the other a two year old rescue named Buddy. Miss Sophie is a very smart girl who knows how to open screen doors as well as the actual front door if it isn't shut and latched all the way. Buddy adores Sophie and follows her everywhere and the other day was no exception........this is what happened. Connie had several family members over for dinner and they were cooking out on the grill, of course the bullies always have to be right in the middle of the activity and Connie decided to put them inside at the front of the house to keep them out of the way for a bit since their were so many people over as well as in and out the back door. About an hour into the get together Connie headed for the front of the house the check on the bullies and found that one of the grandchildren had not closed the front door all the way, the dogs you ask, well, they were gone and Connie had no idea where. The entire family as well as several neighbors began to search for Sophie and Buddy and two hours later they still hadn't been found, Connie called me in a complete panic and was literally crying on the phone. I made my way to her house which is just north of town in a smaller little town, by the time I got there practically the entire town was combing the streets looking for Sophie and Buddy and poor Connie was sitting on her front steps in tears. About twenty minutes after I got there a couple approached us and asked if we were the ones looking for the bulldogs and they led us to their home which is about 2 1/2 blocks south of Connie's home. It seems the couple had gone to the grocery and while they were gone they had expected their son to be coming home and had left the back door partially cracked opened and just the screen door shut which I noticed several people in that town seem to do often. Anywayyyy......They let us in their back door and what do we see first? Dry cat food scattered all over the kitchen floor and a REALLY ticked off kitty who appears to have been drooled on sitting in the middle of their kitchen table. They then motioned for us to have a look in the other room, what did we see when we peeked around the corner, Buddy crashed out on their recliner drooling away and Sophie sprawled upsidedown on their couch just snoring to her little hearts content! ROFLMAOOOO! THAT little brat Sophie not only drug Buddy out of her own house but then into someone else's house where they feasted on cat food, had a grand time p'ing off the cat and then decided to take a little nap! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would have never believed it! Just when you think you've seen everything these little comedians could possibly muster up they come up with a doozy! ![]() |

Sophie and Buddy are well known in their little town and Connie really doesn't have a name there anymore, when people say hello to her its usually " Hi Sophie & Buddy's mom!" lol
People get a kick out of watching Connie go for her daily walk pulling a wagon behind her with two content bulldogs in it just sightseeing as they go. The owners of the house weren't overly upset, more puzzled as to how it happened than anything else but I think the cat is still holding a grudge. ![]() |
