Life with three dogs and a toddler

Haha I get to go take THREE dogs and a toddler to the vet's this afternoon. The toddler has nothing to do with visiting the vet's , I just can't find a babysitter in Augusta that I trust enough.

Yesterday I took all four to Petsmart and Rawhide (the stray) is a PAIN to deal with!! He SCREAMS in delight the whole time, and SCREAMS even louder if nobody is around to pet him. Basically he sounded like I was continuously stepping on his feet. And I wasn't at all.

Tasmo yaps and growls at people to get their attention (he's not meaning to seem aggressive, he just thinks that people will like him if he does this), and people turn and run from him if they don't know dogs very well. A lot of people get what he's saying when he's doing that, because he's also doing his "happy dance" with it, therefore he get's petted. Which makes the problem worse. Good grief.

Poor Bitty just sits down and wags her nub (she reminds me of Stitch when he first runs up to Lilo) until someone notices her. She's my good girl, and only at five months old. She's the reason I can keep my sanity with the other ones.

Then there's my 19-month-old son, who uses every available distraction to do something he's not supposed to, like take down whole displays in the store.

I about feel like I'm losing it when all four are loose out in public...

On a lighter note, I'm getting the puppy shots today so I can take him tomorrow to the rescue organization (Happy Tails Rescue!!) I help so he can be adopted out. I just can't handle having another young puppy in the house right now.

Wish me luck. I need it...

lmbo. You should see what it's like to take three large dogs in a minivan to the vet's...not a pretty sight . By the time we're done, we're repeating, "We've gotta clean this car out," over and over again while the dogs jump over the seats and try to find a way to open the sliding doors with paws.

lol . I have a two-year-old nephew, and that kid never stops moving. When he was here around Christmas we had a birthday party for my Mom, and she gave out special gift bags to each person attending the party. She had a lovely butterfly ornament she gave to a friend but problem is Gabe is especially attracted to shiny objects, and this thing was SHINY. We got a picture of him standing there staring at this lady, holding her ornament. It was hilarios. And hid dad got him a couple of Hot Wheels...this two-year-old is making "vroom vroom" car sounds and screeeeeeeeching. . I saw pictures of your son--he's so cute!!

Good luck! With his cuteness I'm sure someone will be tempted to adopt the lil' guy.

Whoa. I can't imagine taking three dogs everywhere....trip's the petstore and the vet are enough for me right now, LOL!! It's much easier when they're crated of course, but it takes forever to get the back seat out and that thing is darn heavy.

I'm sure my sis can relate, lol. She's got some dogs too, and believes "in taking a dog everywhere". How you and her do it I've got no idea.

Oh I don't take them around everywhere now. Human-wise, it's just me and my son here, and my son isn't much help at all (more of a hindrance!).

lol . Dogs are like little kids...you must've had a pretty interesting trip to the pet store with one human child and three doggie children.

Ha, you should meet my mom sometime. lol Just imagine taking 5 kids (spaning from 4-16 and the youngest throwing a fit when she can't have what she wants) shopping (at the mall, ToysRus, Best Buy, etc.) all at once. Needless to say, she has never done that agian. lol Now she takes us shopping one at a time.

I told Mom of your plight and she said that she feels sorry for you and that your son looks onrey. lol

And man, I can't even imagine how you feel because I was about ready to go crazy when we took Rose into Petsmart and I had to keep an eye on Rose, if there were going to be any dogs coming close, and Melanie and JeanAnne all at the same time! (Plus I was trying to see the Rodents too. ) That was about enough for me. lol
