Have:
Dachshunds/ Dachshund mix-Yes..I will have dachshunds the rest of my life. (Whether purebred or mixed) Chihuahua-Probably..I would prefer larger dogs Rat terrier/Chihuahua mixes-No..sadly. They are just too much for me to handle! Too much energy, too high of a prey drive. Toy aussie mix: Yes..He is wonderful, and so smart! Had: Toy poodle: Yes, I loved that dog soo much! My mom had him years before I was born, so he was there since I was born. Husky mix: No. She killed my toy poodle, and one of our other dogs, so I think I have been scarred from anything husky. They are beautiful dogs, just not for me. Dachshund/Poodle mix: No, she could climb ANY size fence, she could jump over fences, she climbed trees, she got on our roof. Too much energy, she was very terrier like. Dogs that have been apart of my life but were not mine: Doberman/Lab mix: Yes. She was wonderful, I would definitely get one of those breeds, or a mix of them. Pit bulls-No, they are just too powerful, and not for me. Chow mix-No..had aggression issues. I am really trying to think of others but having a hard time. |

Irish Setter - At this point in my life....No, too much exercise.
Old English Sheepdog - Yes, but I'd keep it clipped short (not shaved) because it needs so much grooming. Chihuahua - Absolutely YES! One of the best breeds of dog in existance, as far as I'm concerned. Life is better when you have a Chihuahua. ![]() Cass. |

Papillon - Yes. I would own a Papillon again, but likely not for a long while, probably when I'm older and unable to handle the large breeds.
Cocker Spaniel - No. Too many health issues for me. My boy had constant eye and ear infections, despite the care provided. Both common problems in the breed. Rotties and Rottie mixes - Yes. I have completely fallen in love with the breed, and would definately have another in the future. Won't be the next breed I'd get though. I would love to experience owning some other breeds as well. And I won't be owning another Rottweiler until I live out in the country. Just too many breed prejudice people around in the city who like to cause trouble because they don't like the breed. |

German Shephard - Yes. Loved him. barley any issues.
Akita - Yes. Very loyal, happy and laid back. Do have some same sex aggression issues but they command respect so usually not to many same sex issues besides the odd.. how should I say it... cocky young dog. Malamute - No. Great dogs, but to many dominate issues that lead to aggression. Pitbull - Yes. Great dogs when well socailized and of stable breeding (well just like any other dog, but unstable is more common in pitbulls because of how popular the pitbull image is). Shih Tzu - Yes and No. Yes because they are fantastic little dogs, and easy to get along with and love everyone and everything. No because when you have so many big dogs coming and going in your house (I foster and Board dogs) it can be such a big worry that he is going to get hurt. |

Jack Russell (mix) - Probably not. These dogs are great fun to have around, provide lots of laughs, but WAAAAY too much energy and hyperactivity for me. It's all go, go, GO! for these dogs.
Chihuahua - Maybe. It's hard having a Chihuahua and living in a busy city... (and only having big breeds of dog living in my street) there is just no way to avoid all dogs, and I feel Chis are too small to be allowed around the larger breeds. It's like having to constantly watch a small child. But, at home they are great! I love their personalities and funny ways. I think I'd have a Chihuahua if I lived somewhere more isolated, or when I'm older and unable to get out of the house much. Kelpie (mix) - Possibly. I would never have a Kelpie (mix) again living in the city, seeing as Kelpies are work dogs and NEED the space. They are such cool dogs to have around, though, and if the opportunity came by for me to own a Kelpie I wouldn't have to think twice about it. |

Pomeranian - No, grooming & very fragile.
I'm surprised you say that as the Pom's in America seem much bigger than the ones here in the UK and I wouldn't class them as fragile!! Yes they need grooming but not a lot. I would own a Pomeranian, but would never breed as they are way tooooo heartbreaking for that! |

Have:
Chihuahua - Yes - was not a little dog person until Hank touched our lives and heart. It is difficult with larger dogs and little kids. I'm constantly worried about him. Mutt - Yes - mutts make great companions Had: Black Lab - Yes - so much fun and love to swim with my dogs. Lab/Rottie Mix - Maybe - She was powerful, energetic and had some aggression and dominancy issues I was not prepared for. Once she started to scuffle with other dogs, she would not back off. Yellow Lab - Yes - I love all labs. Chocolate Lab - Yes - agian, love labs and the otter tail ![]() |

German Shepherds - possibly - but I think I prefer something a little smaller now!!
Border collie mix - probably not - a little too highly strung. Blue heeler x - no because there will never be another Captain - he is such a good natured, laid back dog. Cavalier x whatever River is - in a heartbeat!! But I think part of his appeal is his uniqueness and I know he really is one of a kind. I would definitely consider a pure Cav in the future though - due to him. |

Abbey, Muffin, & Mufasa
|
Have:
German Shepherd/lab/greyhound: Maybe - Abbey's so sweet and smart, but she's had a lot of health problems. Golden Retriever/lab: Yes - Muffin's really friendly, loving, smart, and obedient, and learns fast, and she's had no health problems yet. Chihuahua/pekingese: Maybe - Mufasa's a great dog, but he's really stubborn and doesn't always listen. Had: Golden Retriever/collie: Yes - My old dog Casey was just like Muffin... he was loving, friendly, smart, learned fast, and always listened, but I don't think there will be another dog like him. |

Fuzzbutt attack

Have:
Black Lab - Without a second thought. Labs are the best, especially the black ones. But I'm not baised, no siree *glances at Blackie*. Large, active, yet laid back, smart, trainable, protective, loyal....I could go on. Sadie was the best girl as well...I always want a black Lab in my life. Mutt - One of known heritage preferably, but I'll have to say yes. Although unpredictability is a down side; Rose acts nothing like the breeds in her mix. Collie/Aussie mix - Maybe. Chloe has an energy level like no other and she has a LOT of hair. I'm just glad it doesn't tangle. But I love her intelligence, sweetness, size, and looks. Her bark is another thing.... Had: Alasken Malamute - Yes. Loupie was the best girl. The downsides are dog aggression, prey aggression, and shedding. Cattle dog/GSD mix - maybe. Brownie was very highstrung and had the most annoying bark. She was a sweet girl though. |

Collie/Aussie mix: Were it not for the coat and the size, in a heartbeat. Brandy has such a sweet disposition, rarely barks, and is very laid-back. I'd love to have another dog with her personality. Just one that's smaller and has an easier-to-maintain coat.
