I'm Moving

Well, temporarily anyway.

Today (after I finish packing and loading the car) I'm driving up to my mother's place where I'll be living for the next few months while I work.
I do have internet access up there so I won't be abandoning GP, I just won't be on quite as much as usual. I don't think I'll be working nights so I'll try to jump on for an hour or so then.
I HATE packing.

I still haven't caught my birds and put them in their smaller travel cage. That is going to be a nightmare of a time.

Oh well, I just have to keep thinking "Africa!"

, which reminds me. I'm all booked in for the Tanzania trip. I sent my application and deposit away a few days ago. So now I just have to work hard and get the money for the trip. Oh boy...that's a lot of money.

Fortunately I have plenty of time to save.

Anyway, sorry for rabbiting on. I just wanted to let everyone know why I wouldn't be on to bother anyone quite so often.

Good luck with the rest of the packing, I know what a nightmare that can be. I dread packing! (We've moved house about 5 times). You must be so excited that your dream of going back to Africa is suddenly becoming a reality. If I don't see you on GP in the next week, I just want to say that I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas break.

Thanks everyone.

I'm here at my new temporary home now. The bird wrangling went well actually, normally they try to murder me but they were quite good about it this time. They can't wait to get back into their gigantic cage though. The travel one is way too small (it's actually a normal sized bird cage, but one that fits in the car). But they'll only be in it a week, so I hope the newness of this place keeps their minds off it.

I start work today, but I was fortunate enough to be able to sleep in as some work is being done on the shop this morning. Yay! LOL After today I'll be starting at 6am.

Calgal...Yes, I think booking the trip, so that I have a solid goal to work to, is the only way to go. Otherwise I'd be just procrastinating and complaining that I'll never be able to earn enough money to get back there. This way I'm motivated and I know I'll be in Tanzania next September.

Aside from losing my boy

, which weighs heavily on the negative side of things, this year has been pretty good. In the sense that I've achieved quite a bit. Hopefully next year will be much better.
