Has anyone else gotten the holiday flu??

Yuck! It's the most awful thing around the holidays!

I have been out of it for at least a week now and slowly getting better. Getting those lovely night sweats, up and down all day and night which is very annoying... at least I can get out of bed now gives me a few more option of things to pass the time... but you sure get tired out easily. I thought I was OK today, was walking around good, not dizzy, thought I would go for a short 20 minute walk with my poor neglected dog (at least for this week he was). Wow was I every sweating and tired, I could not do it. It just drained me! *Sigh* I hope it goes away soon!

Yuk!! Sorry you are going through this. It has been a long time since I've experienced it but I know how uncomfortable it is.

Gosh, that sounds aweful.

I had something similar a couple months ago. I thought it was the flu but it was a norwalk-type virus going around our area.

Get well soon.

It's awful isn't it! I get the flu every year, but halfway through this year I had the flu vaccination and I can truely say it was a god-send! I haven't had the flu since (I used to get it badly), but the worst for me is tonsilitis! I get it every year (even more than once a year) without fail. With tonsilitis comes the dreadful sore throat, fever, aching, sweating, headaches.... the list goes on.

I hope you feel better soon!

I'm the same way, SW. I started getting the vaccine in 2000 and haven't had the flu since. I've gotten a few colds and a 24 hour bug or two but nothing major. My heart goes out to those who get the flu -- it is horrible.

I can feel something on (stuffy nose and scratchy throat, plus feeling drained so far) but I'm working hard to not let it take over! Ive been pumping myself full of Vit C (natural and tablets) as well as taking echinacea, medicated honey, and lots of tea (herbal and a home remedy blend of garlic, lime and medicated honey)

I have been lucky the past few years even though I did not get the flu shots. I know what it feels like to get flu, especially around the holiday.
