I just checked my local registry online, and there are none in my zip code...but over 550 registered throughout the city.

Sonja I have to admire the way your handling this. I think if some perverted child molesting rapist moved within 10 miles of my wife and kids I would be there in a shot, which is exactly what he would be getting.

Well, I got a call from the parole division today and its been confirmed that he is NOT to have any children other than his own small infant daughter in the home so they'll be making an in-home visit later today to see WHY exactly there is another 3-4 year old living there against court order. Yes, he has a four month old daughter living in the home and has been given permission to have the child live there.

I've made my concerns known to the parole board and now all I can do is sit back and see where we go from here. By the way, another ticket was given this afternoon, he seems to not know how to legally park and is slowly building up a huge stack of fines.

Dear goodness, Crossfire!! That would have me so paranoid I'd have Phillip (my son) on a chain connected to me at all times, 24/7!!! Well, maybe not that extreme....

I hope he's not staying long, and I hope even more that the child living with him gets taken out of there fast! That's absolutely horrifying. I'm sorry you are having to go through this.

How do you check if there are any registered living in your area? Can you check by zip code/city?

Gosh that's scary... I would never feel safe again. *sigh* You're doing everything you can, though, Sonja, and kudos for that!! Sending prayers for protection for the kids, and that he moves quickly...

Thanks Kalena.....there are tons of sites on the internet that promote the national registry and say their trying to assist people in letting them know where these predators are but then want to charge you to use their service.

You can find your states FREE registry by going through the federal site at: http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/cac/states.htm
