Today my Lil'Mia being as precious as she is did something I'm not proud of.
As I was looking out my kitchen window while I was cooking dinner what did I see. My cat (Boots) had come in the fence with a baby rabbit. I ventured outside to see about it. I told Lyndsay to keep Mia inside. Well, You know the cat instinct play kill then eat. She tried to do just that. Until, guess who I catch coming out the door in the corner of my eye. Lil'Precious Mia. Yeah, right. I yelled at Lyndsay to not let Mia get to the RABBIT. Oh Well Low and behold she did. Lyndsay and I chased that crazy dog all around the back yard at full speed. For I know 10 minutes. Now can you see a 35 + lady chasing a lil'Doxie with a rabbit in its mouth. I want you all to know I have never been so gave out of breath in my life. When the chase is over Lyndsay downs Mia at the gate and I finally get to her and get the poor lil'rabbit out of her mouth. But, Its to late. I felt so bad for that little rabbit. I had Lyndsay to take it and give it to Daddy to take care of.Well when its all said and done. Lyndsay says,"Mom we sure got our exercise for today." And I say, Yes Honey but a little to much ![]() |

Funny in a dark way LOL.
Reminds me of last week. About nine at night, I was online, and I hear a THUMP in the living room. I walk out there and see the cat toodling to a bedroom with a mouse in his mouth. I put the dogs outside, and watch the cat. He's an indoor, declawed, neutered cat. He doesn't get a lot of excitement in his life, so I let him "play" with the mouse. He would flip it up, swat at it, etc. I let him do that a few times, then I took the now stunned mouse outside, ran across the street (in my jammies no less), and put it down in the field. The mouse had come to its senses by then, and scurried off in the bushes. The mouse was fine. SOOO... cat got to be a hunter, I got rid of a mouse in the house, AND the mouse lived to tell the tale. LOL |

Poor bunny.
We were visiting friends and the boy next door had rabbits but they had burrows in my friends back yard. I could hear this faint yapping sound and when I went out I found Chloe with just her fluffy tail out of the rabbit hole. She didnt get the rabbit but to this day you say WHERES THE RABBIT and she runs around our yard in a frenzy lol |

lol Poor little Bunny
.....Rose loves to chase rabbits and she LOVES to dig for mice and moles. We have at least 10 big holes in our feild from Rose digging. I was laughing at her one time because she spent 30mins digging nine good sized holes and she still didn't get the mouse. lol Rush caught a baby rabbit one time....he left it as a present on our front porch.....ugh...why to animals think that you are proud of them when the catch something? Whenver Rose catches something, she'll bring it up to me and go 'aroooo!' and she'll be dancing around like, "Aren't you so proud of me?!" lol |

One day when I was home from college with Tori, she was in the back yard and I noticed she seemed to be tossing something into the air and then chasing it. I then noticed the brown thing she was tossing would hit the ground and start to run....she had done this about 4 times that I saw when I opened the door and yelled for her....this poor little mole then took off running at her distraction....

Poor Bunny! I can just see you running around though. Kinda reminds me of me chasing Sunny around the yard trying to get her in the house when she is out barking at the neighbor dog. She has taken to digging holes now too so I have to be careful not to break my ankle trying to catch her.

A-w-w-w-w poor bunny. Well, that's our dogs and cats for ya. I can just see you chasing that little dog. I guess she doesn't have that "drop it" command down pat yet. LOL.
Bonnie use to hunt and kill rabbits by the dozen where we use to live....not much to do about it, but it was kind of sad for me to see, especially when she'd get a baby and almost kill it, but not quite. I'd have to finish it off if it was too far gone....horrible to have to do. |
