update on freezing dry kibble

I called the Natura Pet Food company and ask if freezing dry kibble will take out the protein. They said no. The only thing that would be bad about freezing was if it got freezer burn and dried out it would not be too tasty for the dog. Also if by freezing it got wet, then it would have to either be fed the same day or thrown away. He did say you can put the kibble in an airtight glass jar and keep it in the ref. for up to 6 months. This is good to know for the ones who have small dogs that don't eat much in which the food just last too long.

I soak and freeze kibble (mixed with other stuff) all the time, I don't notice anything ever going bad...

Kim, it's my Musher's Mash stuff that I freeze, when I make it, I make a lot (since it takes a while) so then I freeze in individual portions and during summer i feed it to OC still frozen as a cool treat, and during winter I feed it to him slightly warmed up if it's a very cold night/day

I would love to watch a Sledge team at work, they don't have anything like that here. Where's Barrett, she works at an airport, persuade them to do 9,000 mile day trips !!

Great picture, thanks. Without trying to show my ignorance, if you have 2 dogs on one side and one dog on the other, don't they pull to one side all the time?

nope, they still pull straight because all the dogs are connected to one line by their tug lines, which is called the gangline, and it is the gangline which is attached to the sled.

You can see how in this picture, OC (wheel dog) went way off to the side but the sled kept going straight because Ronin and Nakota (lead dogs) kept moving forward. This was becak before I learned how wonderful and easy things become when ALL dogs have necklines, instead of just the two lead dogs. Oh and please pardon my horrible hair, this was before I got it cut! And also sorry for hijacking the thread >_<
