Princess the doxie is getting spayed tomorrow morning. This is my first s/n....and my first dog sugery ever. Very scary. I'm chicken when its comes to sugeries for myself so I'm freaking out that my baby is having one. One dog came fixed, and there's two still more to go. Please send out good vibes that tomorrow goes well as well as the recovery.

Sending vibes your way. It's always scary when our pets have any kind of surgery. I know I miss them terribly when they are at the vets. Good luck Princess!

Good vibes headed your way!
I've had all of my dogs and cats spayed/nuetered, but I was still nervous when I dropped Chloe off to have it done. Everything went well with all of surgeries my critters have had done, but that still doesn't stop you from worrying! |

Thanks everyone soooooooooooooooooo much, she's out of sugery right now and is home. Very sleepy as of now.
Princess After Her Spay ![]() Still A Greedy Dog ![]() When I went to drop her off, there was this guy real muscular, like a body builder type surrender his dog. He was bawling, he made me want to cry. I don't know how employees do it, I would be right there bawling with the owner. I give LOTS of credit for people who work in animal shetlers, takes alot of heart. It was a white boxer, but looked like he was an outside dog though, because he came with a long tied out chain. He told the people that he might bite if he doesn't know you. But I was pretty close to the dog and he was pretty well-behaved. He also said he's never bit anyone though, but is protective. I hope he isn't so bad off that he could pass the temperment test and get adopted out, poor dog. |

I'm glad to hear that Princess's spay went really well!
With surgeries like these, it's good to know that they're done for a good cause, and your dog will be right as rain in a week. |

I'm very glad that everything went well with Princess, she looks like a sweet little dog.
![]() I also hope that Boxer finds a loving home. It's always sad when dogs have to be surrendered to a shelter, but I think the shelter people understand that what they are doing is helping the dogs. And, I think that's how they manage to do the job that they do. I'm sure it's still really hard for them sometimes. Anyways, I hope the dog finds a good home. |

I'm glad her spay went well!
The one time I was at the shelter (went to see if I could volunteer) a woman brought in a GORGEOUS Chow/Boxer mix (think Boxer head with chow wrinkles, Boxer legs and body, thicker coat, beautiful coloring, and a curly tail) that she was surrendering because, "It chewed up my roommates furniture." That dog was such a happy, sweet dog. I wonder why she couldn't try exercising the dog and maybe....crating it! It is amazing what some training can do, lady! *sigh* |
