Quirks? What Quirks?
What are some of the "quirky" things your dogs do?
I've always been told to watch out for Border Collie quirks but Dakota never really showed signs of having TOO many until now. I've been bombarded with them. Too many to list in one post, really. Dakota's latest hobby is to stick his nose to the bottom of his water bowl and blow bubbles. He'll do this for half an hour if I'd let him. (But I don't. I know, I'm mean, but it's far too messy.) See? It's just like a little kid with milk! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...bubbles001.jpg (Pic is too big to post on the forum.) |

LOL!! That is too funny rips! I can see the bubbles. Has he accidently sucked water up his nose yet? LOL
Bailey is one goofy dog too. She constantly plays with her water bowl. For months I had to only allow two inches of water in the bowl at a time to stop her from flooding the kitchen every 5 minutes. The funniest thing she used to do is take her squeeky balls and put them in her water bowl with the hole in the water. She would squeek the ball really fast and draw water into the ball and then run around the house and squirt it like a squirt gun. She would get water all over the carpet, my couches, the wall, and of course me. I would chase her all over the house trying to get the ball out of her mouth and everytime I got close to her she would turn around and squirt me. She did this all the time and knew excatly what she was doing. She got me right in my mouth once and from then on only two inches of water in the bowl! YUCK. I don't allow balls in the house anymore so she stopped doing this. Now her thing to do is "wash" her toys in the water bowl. She puts all of her toys in the bowl and uses her foot to push them up and down in the water, splashing it everywhere. Lucy is a good girl and doesn't have any quirks yet. |

If it's really hot, May will go to the water bowl, and stand in it while she's drinking.

My little Zada is a 17 week old Yorkie and she's still learning everything, but she does do something I think is just adorable. Every morning after her and Delsi, my 13 year old blind Chihuahua, eat breakfast, I take all of the toys out of the toy box for Zada. She will take them over and lay them by Delsi, lay down and bark at her a couple of times. Even though Delsi doesn't see anything or play with toys, Zada still does this every morning.
